1 O! Pastor de Israel, escucha: tú que pastoreas, como a ovejas, a José: tú que estás entre los querubines, resplandece. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.
2 Despierta tu valentía delante de Efraím, y de Ben-jamín, y de Manasés: y ven a salvarnos. Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.
3 O! Dios, háznos tornar: y haz resplandecer tu rostro, y seremos salvos. Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
4 Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, ¿hasta cuándo te airarás contra la oración de tu pueblo? O Lord God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
5 Dísteles a comer pan de lágrimas: y dísteles a beber lágrimas con medida. Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
6 Pusístenos por contienda a nuestros vecinos: y nuestros enemigos se burlan de nosotros entre sí. Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.
7 O! Dios de los ejércitos, háznos tornar: y haz resplandecer tu rostro, y seremos salvos. Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
8 Hiciste venir la vid de Egipto: echaste a los Gentiles, y la plantaste. Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
9 Limpiaste el lugar delante de ella: e hiciste arraigar sus raíces, e hinchió la tierra. Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.
10 Los montes fueron cubiertos de su sombra: y sus ramas como cedros de Dios. The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.
11 Enviaste o! Señor, sus ramas hasta la mar: y hasta el río sus mugrones. She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.
12 ¿Por qué aportillaste sus vallados, y la cogieron todos los que pasaron por el camino? Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
13 Destruyóla el puerco montés, y la pació la bestia del campo. The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
14 O! Dios de los ejércitos, vuelve ahora: mira desde el cielo, y vé, y visita esta vid. Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
15 Y la planta que tu diestra plantó: y sobre el mugrón que tú corroboraste para ti. And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.
16 Quemada a fuego está, y talada: perezcan por la reprensión de tu rostro. It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
17 Sea tu mano sobre el varón de tu diestra: sobre el hijo del hombre que tú corroboraste para ti. Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.
18 Y no nos tornaremos de ti: darnos has vida, e invocaremos tu nombre. So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.
19 O! Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos, háznos tornar, haz resplandecer tu rostro, y seremos salvos. Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
