1 Pedro y Juan subían juntos al templo a la hora de la oración, es decir, la de nona. Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
2 Y un hombre, cojo desde el vientre de su madre, era traído; al cual ponían cada día a la puerta del templo, que se dice la Hermosa, para que pidiese limosna de los que entraban en el templo. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3 Este como vio a Pedro y a Juan que comenzaban a entrar en el templo, les pedía una limosna. Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 Pedro pues con Juan poniendo los ojos en él, dijo: Mira a nosotros. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 Entonces él estuvo atento a ellos, esperando recibir de ellos algo. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 Y Pedro dijo: Ni tengo plata ni oro; mas lo que tengo, eso te doy: en el nombre de Jesu Cristo, el Nazareno, levántate, y anda. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 Y tomándole por la mano derecha, le levantó; y luego fueron afirmados sus pies y tobillos. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 Y saltando, se puso en pie, y anduvo, y entró con ellos en el templo, andando y saltando, y alabando a Dios. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9 Y todo el pueblo le vio andando, y alabando a Dios. And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
10 Y le conocían, que él era el que se sentaba a pedir la limosna a la puerta del templo, la Hermosa; y fueron llenos de miedo y de espanto de lo que le había acontecido. And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
11 ¶ Y teniendo a Pedro y a Juan el cojo que había sido sanado, todo el pueblo concurrió a ellos al pórtico que se llama de Salomón atónitos. And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
12 Lo cual viendo Pedro, respondió al pueblo: Varones Israelitas, ¿por qué os maravilláis de esto? ¿o por qué ponéis los ojos en nosotros como si por nuestro poder o piedad hubiésemos hecho andar a éste? And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
13 El Dios de Abraham, y de Isaac, y de Jacob, el Dios de nuestros padres, ha glorificado a su Hijo Jesús, al cual vosotros entregasteis, y negasteis delante de Pilato, juzgando él que había de ser suelto. The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
14 Mas vosotros al Santo y al Justo negasteis, y pedisteis que se os diese un hombre homicida; But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15 Y matasteis al Autor de la vida, al cual Dios ha resucitado de los muertos, de lo cual nosotros somos testigos. And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
16 Y su nombre, por la fe en su nombre ha confirmado a éste que vosotros veis y conocéis; y la fe que por él es, ha dado a éste esta perfecta sanidad en presencia de todos vosotros. And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17 Mas ahora, hermanos, yo sé que por ignorancia habéis hecho aquello, como también vuestros príncipes. And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.
18 Empero Dios lo que había antes anunciado por boca de todos sus profetas, que su Cristo había de padecer, así lo ha cumplido. But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
19 Arrepentíos, pues, y convertíos, para que vuestros pecados sean raídos, cuando los tiempos del refrigerio vinieren de la presencia del Señor; Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
20 Y enviará a Jesu Cristo, que os ha sido antes anunciado. And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21 Al cual cierto es menester que el cielo reciba hasta los tiempos de la restauración de todas las cosas: de que habló Dios por boca de todos sus santos profetas que han sido desde el principio de los siglos. Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
22 Porque Moisés a la verdad dijo a los padres: El Señor vuestro Dios os levantará un profeta de vuestros hermanos, como yo: a él oiréis en todas las cosas que os hablare. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
23 Y acontecerá, que toda alma que no oyere a aquel profeta, será exterminada de entre el pueblo. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
24 Y todos los profetas desde Samuel, y en adelante, todos los que han hablado, han prenunciado estos días. Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
25 Vosotros sois los hijos de los profetas, y del concierto que Dios concertó con nuestros padres, diciendo a Abraham: Y en tu simiente serán benditas todas las familias de la tierra. Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
26 A vosotros primeramente, Dios, habiendo levantado a su Hijo Jesús, le envió para que os bendijese, convirtiéndoos cada uno de su maldad. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
