1 En el fin del sábado, así como iba amaneciendo el primer día de la semana, vino María Magdalena, y la otra María, a ver el sepulcro. In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2 Y, he aquí, fue hecho un gran terremoto; porque el ángel del Señor descendiendo del cielo y llegando, había revuelto la piedra de la puerta del sepulcro, y estaba sentado sobre ella. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3 Y su aspecto era como un relámpago; y su vestido blanco como la nieve. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4 Y del miedo de él los guardas temblaron, y fueron vueltos como muertos. And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5 Y respondiendo el ángel, dijo a las mujeres: No temáis vosotras; porque yo sé que buscáis a Jesús, el que fue crucificado. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 No está aquí; porque ha resucitado, como dijo. Veníd, ved el lugar donde fue puesto el Señor; He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 Y presto id, decíd a sus discípulos, que ha resucitado de los muertos; y, he aquí, os espera en Galilea: allí le veréis: he aquí, os lo he dicho. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
8 Entonces ellas saliendo del sepulcro con temor y gran gozo, fueron corriendo a dar las nuevas a sus discípulos. Y yendo a dar las nuevas a sus discípulos, And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
9 He aquí, Jesús les sale al encuentro, diciendo: Tengáis gozo. Y ellas se llegaron, y trabaron de sus pies, y le adoraron. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
10 Entonces Jesús les dice: No temáis, id, dad las nuevas a mis hermanos, para que vayan a Galilea; y allá me verán. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
11 ¶ Y yendo ellas, he aquí, unos de la guardia vinieron a la ciudad, y dieron aviso a los príncipes de los sacerdotes de todas las cosas que habían acontecido. Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
12 Y juntados con los ancianos, habido consejo, dieron mucho dinero a los soldados, And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
13 Diciendo: Decíd: Sus discípulos vinieron de noche, y le hurtaron, durmiendo nosotros. Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
14 Y si esto fuere oído del presidente, nosotros le persuadiremos, y os haremos seguros. And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
15 Y ellos, tomado el dinero, hicieron como estaban instruidos; y este dicho ha sido divulgado entre los Judíos hasta el día de hoy. So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
16 ¶ Mas los once discípulos se fueron a Galilea, al monte, donde Jesús les había ordenado. Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 Y como le vieron, le adoraron; mas algunos dudaban. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18 Y llegando Jesús, les habló, diciendo: Toda potestad me es dada en el cielo y en la tierra. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Por tanto id, enseñád a todas las naciones, bautizándoles en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Enseñándoles que guarden todas las cosas que os he mandado; y, he aquí, yo estoy con vosotros todos los días, hasta el fin del siglo. Amén. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
