1 Pablo apóstol, no de los hombres, ni por hombre, sino por Jesu Cristo, y por Dios el Padre, que le levantó de entre los muertos, Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
2 Y todos los hermanos que están conmigo, a las iglesias de Galacia: And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:
3 Gracia a vosotros, y paz de Dios el Padre, y de nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo, Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 El cual se dio a sí mismo por nuestros pecados para librarnos de este presente siglo malo, conforme a la voluntad de Dios y Padre nuestro: Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
5 Al cual sea gloria por siglos de siglos. Amén. To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
6 Estoy maravillado de que tan presto os hayáis pasado de aquel que os llamó a la gracia de Cristo, a otro evangelio: I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 El cual no es otro, sino que hay algunos que os inquietan, y quieren pervertir el evangelio de Cristo. Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 Mas si nosotros, o un ángel del cielo os anunciare otro evangelio del que os hemos anunciado, sea maldito. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 Como antes hemos dicho, así ahora tornamos a decir otra vez: Si alguien os anunciare otro evangelio del que habéis recibido, sea maldito. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 Porque ¿persuado yo ahora a hombres, o a Dios? ¿o procuro de agradar a hombres? Porque si aun agradara a los hombres, no sería siervo de Cristo. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 ¶ Empero os hago saber, hermanos, que el evangelio que os ha sido anunciado por mí, no es según hombre; But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 Porque ni le recibí de hombre, ni tampoco me fue enseñado, sino por revelación de Jesu Cristo. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 Porque ya habéis oído cual fue mi conversación en otro tiempo en el Judaismo, como sobre manera perseguía la iglesia de Dios, y la asolaba; For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
14 Y que aprovechaba en el Judaismo sobre muchos de mis iguales en mi nación, siendo más vehementemente zeloso de las tradiciones de mis padres. And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 Mas cuando plugo a Dios, que me apartó desde el vientre de mi madre, y me llamó por su gracia, But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
16 Revelar a su Hijo en mí, para que le predicase entre los Gentiles, desde luego no consulté con carne y sangre; To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
17 Ni vine a Jerusalem a los que eran apóstoles antes que yo; sino que me fui a Arabia; y volví de nuevo a Damasco. Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
18 Después, pasados tres años, vine a Jerusalem a ver a Pedro, y estuve con él quince días. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.
19 Mas a ningún otro de los apóstoles ví, sino a Santiago el hermano del Señor. But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother.
20 Y en esto, que os escribo, he aquí, delante de Dios, que no miento. Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.
21 Después vine a las partes de Siria y de Cilicia. Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
22 Y no era conocido de vista a las iglesias de Judea, que eran en Cristo: And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judea which were in Christ:
23 Mas solamente tenían fama de mí: Que el que en otro tiempo nos perseguía, ahora anuncia la fe que en un tiempo destruía: But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
24 Y glorificaban a Dios en mí. And they glorified God in me.
