1 И Господ рече Мојсију: ево, поставио сам те да си Бог Фараону; а Арон брат твој биће пророк твој. And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
2 Говорићеш све што ти заповједим; Арон пак брат твој говориће Фараону да пусти синове Израиљеве из земље своје. Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
3 А ја ћу учинити да отврдне срце Фараону, те ћу умножити знаке своје и чудеса своја у земљи Мисирској. And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
4 И неће вас ипак послушати Фараон; а ја ћу метнути руку своју на Мисир, и извешћу војску своју, народ свој, синове Израиљеве из земље Мисирске судовима великим. But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5 И познаће Мисирци да сам ја Господ, кад дигнем руку своју на Мисир, и изведем синове Израиљеве између њих. And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
6 И учини Мојсије и Арон, како им заповједи Господ, тако учинише. And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord commanded them, so did they.
7 А Мојсију бијаше осамдесет година, а Арону осамдесет и три године, кад говораху с Фараоном. And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.
8 И рече Господ Мојсију и Арону говорећи: And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
9 Кад вам каже Фараон и рече: учините како чудо, онда реци Арону: узми штап свој, и баци га пред Фараона; те ће се прометнути у змију. When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
10 И изађоше Мојсије и Арон пред Фараона, и учинише како заповједи Господ; и баци Арон штап свој пред Фараона и пред слуге његове, и прометну се у змију. And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the Lord had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
11 А Фараон дозва мудраце и врачаре; те и врачари Мисирски учинише тако својим врачањем. Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
12 И бацише сваки свој штап, и прометнуше се штапови у змије; али штап Аронов прождрије њихове штапове. For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
13 И отврдну срце Фараоново, и не послуша их, као што бјеше казао Господ. And he hardened Pharaoh’s heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
14 И рече Господ Мојсију: отежа срце Фараоново; неће да пусти народа. And the Lord said unto Moses, Pharaoh’s heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.
15 Иди ујутру к Фараону. Гле, он ће изаћи на воду, па стани према њему на обали, а штап који се био прометнуо у змију узми у руку. Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river’s brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.
16 И реци му: Господ Бог Јеврејски посла ме к теби да ти кажем: пусти народ мој да ми послужи у пустињи. Али ти ето још не послуша. And thou shalt say unto him, The Lord God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
17 Зато Господ овако вели: овако ћеш познати да сам ја Господ: ево, ударићу штапом што ми је у руци по води што је у ријеци, и прометнуће се у крв. Thus saith the Lord, In this thou shalt know that I am the Lord: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
18 И рибе у ријеци помријеће, и ријека ће се усмрдјети, и Мисирци ће се узмучити тражећи воде да пију из ријеке. And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
19 И Господ рече Мојсију: реци Арону: узми штап свој, и пружи руку своју на воде Мисирске, на потоке, на ријеке и на језера њихова и на сва зборишта вода њиховијех; и прометнуће се у крв, и биће крв по свој земљи Мисирској, и по судима дрвенијем и каменијем. And the Lord spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
20 И учинише Мојсије и Арон како им заповједи Господ; и подигав Арон штап свој удари по води која бјеше у ријеци пред Фараоном и слугама његовијем. И сва вода што бјеше у ријеци прометну се у крв. And Moses and Aaron did so, as the Lord commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
21 И помријеше рибе што бијаху у ријеци, и усмрдје се ријека тако да не могаху Мисирци пити воде из ријеке, и бјеше крв по свој земљи Мисирској. And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
22 Али и врачари Мисирски учинише тако својим врачањем; и срце Фараону отврдну, те их не послуша, као што бјеше казао Господ. And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the Lord had said.
23 И окренув се Фараон отиде кући својој, и не мари ни за то. And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
24 А Мисирци сви копаше око ријеке тражећи воде да пију; јер не могаху пити воде из ријеке. And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
25 И наврши се седам дана како ријеку удари Господ. And seven days were fulfilled, after that the Lord had smitten the river.
