1 А кад бјеше Амарфал цар Сенарски, Арион цар Еласарски, Ходологомор цар Еламски и Таргал цар Гојимски, And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;
2 Завојштише на Валу цара Содомскога, и на Варсу цара Гоморскога, и на Сенара цара Адамскога, и на Симовора цара Севојимскога и на цара од Валаке, који је сада Сигор. That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.
3 Сви се ови скупише у долини Сидимској, која је сада слано море. All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.
4 Дванаест година бјеху служили Ходологомору, па тринаесте године одметнуше се. Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
5 А четрнаесте године дође Ходологомор и цареви који бијаху с њим, и побише Рафаје у Астароту Карнајимском и Зузеје у Аму и Омеје у пољу Киријатајском, And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
6 И Хореје у планини њиховој Сиру до равнице Фаранске покрај пустиње. And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto El–paran, which is by the wilderness.
7 Отуда вративши се дођоше у Ен-Миспат, који је сада Кадис, и исјекоше све који живљаху у земљи Амаличкој, и Амореје који живљаху у Асасон-Тамару. And they returned, and came to En–mishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezon–tamar.
8 Тада изиде цар Содомски и цар Гоморски и цар Адамски и цар Севојимски и цар од Валахе, која је сада Сигор, изидоше на њих у долину Сидимску, And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim;
9 На Ходологомора цара Еламскога, и на Таргала цара Гојимскога, и на Амарфала цара Сенарскога, и на Ариоха цара Еласарскога, четири цара на пет. With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five.
10 А у долини Сидимској бијаше много рупа из којих се вадила смола; и побјеже цар Содомски и цар Гоморски, и ондје падоше, а што оста побјеже у планину. And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain.
11 И узеше све благо у Содому и Гомору и сву храну њихову, и отидоше. And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.
12 Узеше и Лота, синовца Аврамова, и благо његово, и отидоше, јер живљаше у Содому. And they took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
13 А дође један који бјеше утекао, те јави Авраму Јеврејину, који живљеше у равни Мамрија Аморејина, брата Есхолу и брата Авнану, који бјеху у вјери с Аврамом. And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram.
14 А кад Аврам чу да му се заробио синовац, наоружа слуге своје, триста осамнаест, који се родише у његовој кући, и пође у потјеру до Дана. And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.
15 Ондје разредивши своје удари на њих ноћу са слугама својим, и разби их, и отјера их до Ховала, који је на лијево од Дамаска, And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
16 И поврати све благо; поврати и Лота синовца својега с благом његовијем, и жене и људе. And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
17 А цар Содомски изиде му на сусрет кад се врати разбивши Ходологомора и цареве што бијаху с њим, у долину Савину, које је сада долина царева. And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s dale.
18 А Мелхиседек цар Салимски изнесе хљеб и вино; а он бијаше свештеник Бога вишњега. And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
19 И благослови га говорећи: благословен да је Аврам Богу вишњему, чије је небо и земља! And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20 И благословен да је Бог вишњи, који предаде непријатеље твоје у руке твоје! И даде му Аврам десетак од свега. And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
21 А цар Содомски рече Авраму: дај мени људе, а благо узми себи. And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
22 А Аврам рече цару Содомском: дижем руку своју ка Господу Богу вишњему, чије је небо и земља, заклињући се: And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
23 Ни конца ни ремена од обуће нећу узети од свега што је твоје, да не речеш: ја сам обогатио Аврама; That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:
24 Осим што су појели момци, и осим дијела људима који су ишли са мном, Есхолу, Авнану и Мамрију, они нека узму свој дио. Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.
