| 1 | А Господ опет одговарајући Јову из вихора рече: | Moreover the Lord answered Job, and said, |
| 2 | Опаши се сада као човјек; ја ћу те питати, а ти ми казуј. | Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it. |
| 3 | Хоћеш ли ти уништити мој суд? хоћеш ли мене осудити да би себе оправдао? | Then Job answered the Lord, and said, |
| 4 | Је ли у тебе мишица као у Бога? грмиш ли гласом као он? | Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. |
| 5 | Окити се сада чашћу и величанством, у славу и красоту обуци се. | Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further. |
| 6 | Проспи јарост гњева својега, и погледај све поносите, и обори их. | Then answered the Lord unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said, |
| 7 | Погледај све поносите, и понизи их, и потри безбожнике на мјесту њихову. | Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. |
| 8 | Затрпај их све у прах, и повежи им лице на скривену мјесту. | Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous? |
| 9 | Тада ћу те и ја хвалити да те чува десница твоја. | Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him? |
| 10 | А гле, слон, којега сам створио с тобом, једе траву као во; | Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty. |
| 11 | Гле, снага му је у бедрима његовијем, и сила му је у пупку трбуха његова; | Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him. |
| 12 | Диже реп свој као кедар, жиле од јаја његовијех сплетене су као гране; | Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place. |
| 13 | Кости су му као цијеви мједене, зглавци као полуге гвоздене. | Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret. |
| 14 | Он је прво између дјела Божијих, творац његов дао му је мач. | Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee. |
| 15 | Горе носе му пићу, и све звијерје пољско игра се ондје. | Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. |
| 16 | У хладу лијеже, у густој трсци и глибу. | Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. |
| 17 | Граната дрвета заклањају га сјеном својим, и опкољавају га врбе на потоцима. | He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. |
| 18 | Гле, уставља ријеку да не тече, узда се да ће испити Јордан губицом својом. | His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron. |
| 19 | Хоће ли га ко ухватити на очи његове? замку му провући кроз нос? | He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him. |
| 20 | Хоћеш ли удицом извући крокодила или ужем подвезати му језик? | Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play. |
| 21 | Хоћеш ли му провући ситу кроз нос? или му шиљком провртјети чељусти? | He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens. |
| 22 | Хоће ли те много молити, или ће ти ласкати? | The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about. |
| 23 | Хоће ли учинити вјеру с тобом да га узмеш да ти буде слуга довијека? | Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth. |
| 24 | Хоћеш ли се играти с њим као са птицом, или ћеш га везати дјевојкама својим? | He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares. |
| 25 | Хоће ли се њим частити другови? раздијелити га међу трговце? | — |
| 26 | Хоћеш ли му напунити кожу шиљцима и главу оствама? | — |
| 27 | Дигни на њ руку своју; нећеш више помињати боја. | — |
| 28 | Гле, залуду је надати му се; кад га само угледа човјек, не пада ли? | — |
