1 А кад Соломун сврши дом Господњи и дом царски и све што жељаше Соломун и рад бијаше начинити, And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the Lord, and the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he was pleased to do,
2 Јави се Господ Соломуну други пут, као што му се бјеше јавио у Гаваону; That the Lord appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.
3 И рече му Господ: услишио сам молбу твоју и молитву твоју, којом си ми се молио; посветио сам тај дом који си сазидао да ту намјестим име своје довијека; и очи ће моје и срце моје бити ондје вазда. And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
4 А ти ако узидеш преда мном како је ишао Давид отац твој с цијелијем и правијем срцем творећи све што сам ти заповједио и држећи уредбе моје и законе моје, And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
5 Утврдићу пријесто царства твојега над Израиљем навијек, као што сам казао Давиду оцу твојему говорећи: неће ти нестати човјека на пријестолу Израиљеву. Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.
6 Али ако се ви и синови ваши одвратите од мене и не уздржите заповијести мојих и уредаба мојих које сам вам дао, и отидете и станете служити другим боговима и клањати им се, But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:
7 Тада ћу истријебити Израиља са земље, коју сам вам дао, и овај дом, који сам посветио имену својему, одбацићу од себе, и Израиљ ће постати прича и потсмијех међу свијем народима; Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:
8 А дом овај колико је славан, ко год прође мимо њ, зачудиће се и запиштаће, и рећи ће: зашто учини Господ ово од ове земље и од овога дома? And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus unto this land, and to this house?
9 И одговараће се: јер одусташе Господа Бога својега, који изведе оце њихове из земље Мисирске, и узеше друге богове, и клањаше им се и служише им; зато пусти на њих Господ све ово зло. And they shall answer, Because they forsook the Lord their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the Lord brought upon them all this evil.
10 А кад прође двадесет година, у које сазида Соломун ова два дома, дом Господњи и дом царски, And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the Lord, and the king’s house,
11 А Хирам цар Тирски даде Соломуну дрва кедровијех и дрва јеловијех и злата колико му год воља бјеше, тада цар Соломун даде Хираму двадесет градова у земљи Галилејској. (Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
12 И дође Хирам из Тира да види градове које му даде Соломун, али не бише му по вољи. And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not.
13 Па рече: какви су то градови што си ми их дао, брате? И назва их: земља Кавул; и оста им то име до данас. And he said, What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day.
14 А Хирам бјеше послао цару сто и двадесет таланата злата. And Hiram sent to the king sixscore talents of gold.
15 И тако цар Соломун одреди људе, те сазида дом Господњи и дом свој и Милон, и зидове око Јерусалима, и Асор и Мегидон и Гезер. And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the Lord, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.
16 Јер Фараон цар Мисирски изиде и узе Гезер, и спали га огњем и поби Хананеје који живљаху у граду, и даде га у прћију кћери својој, жени Соломуновој. For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it for a present unto his daughter, Solomon’s wife.
17 А Соломун сазида Гезер и Вет-Орон доњи. And Solomon built Gezer, and Beth–horon the nether,
18 И Валат и Тадмор у пустињи у земљи, And Baalath, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land,
19 И све градове у којима Соломун имаше житнице, и градове у којима му бијаху кола, и градове у којима му бијаху коњици, и што год Соломуну би воља зидати у Јерусалиму и на Ливану и у свој земљи царства својега. And all the cities of store that Solomon had, and cities for his chariots, and cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
20 И сав народ који бјеше остао од Амореја, Хетеја, Ферезеја, Јевеја и Јевусеја, који не бијаху од синова Израиљевијех, And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel,
21 Синове њихове, који бјеху остали иза њих у земљи, којих не могаше синови Израиљеви истријебити, њих Соломун нагна да плаћају данак и робују до данашњега дана. Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day.
22 А од синова Израиљевијех не учини ни једнога робом, него бијаху војници и слуге његове и кнезови, војводе његове, и заповједници над колима његовијем и над коњицима његовијем. But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen: but they were men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots, and his horsemen.
23 И бјеше главнијех настојника над послом Соломуновијем пет стотина и педесет, који управљаху народом који рађаше посао. These were the chief of the officers that were over Solomon’s work, five hundred and fifty, which bare rule over the people that wrought in the work.
24 А кћи Фараонова пресели се из града Давидова у дом свој, који јој сазида. Тада сазида и Милон. But Pharaoh’s daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Millo.
25 И Соломун приношаше три пута на годину жртве паљенице и жртве захвалне на олтару који начини Господу, и кађаше на олтару који бјеше пред Господом, кад сврши дом. And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the Lord, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the Lord. So he finished the house.
26 И лађе начини цар Соломун у Есион-Гаверу, који је код Елота на бријегу Црвенога Мора у земљи Едомској. And king Solomon made a navy of ships in Ezion–geber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red sea, in the land of Edom.
27 И посла Хирам на тијем лађама слуге своје, лађаре вјеште мору, са слугама Соломуновијем; And Hiram sent in the navy his servants, shipmen that had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.
28 И дођоше у Офир, и узеше оданде злата четири стотине и двадесет таланата, и донесоше цару Соломуну. And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.
