1 А цар Соломун цароваше над свијем Израиљем. So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
2 А ово бијаху кнезови његови: Азарија, син Садоков, намјесник; And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
3 Елиореф и Ахија, синови Сисини, писари; Јосафат, син Ахилудов, паметар; Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
4 Венаја, син Јодајев, војвода; а Садок и Авијатар свештеници; And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
5 А Азарија син Натанов, бјеше над приставима; а Завуд, син Натанов, први вијећник, пријатељ царев; And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:
6 А Ахисар управитељ дворски; а Адонирам син Авдин над царским посленицима. And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
7 И имаше Соломун дванаест пристава по свему Израиљу, који храњаху цара и сав дом његов; по мјесец дана у години сваки бијаше дужан хранити. And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
8 А ово су им имена: син Уров у гори Јефремовој; And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
9 Син Декеров у Макасу и у Салвиму и Вет-Семесу и Елону Вет-ананском; The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth–shemesh, and Elon–beth–hanan:
10 Син Еседов у Арувоту; под њим бијаше Сохот и сва земља Еферова; The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
11 Син Авинадавов над свијем крајем Дорским; жена му бјеше Тафата кћи Соломунова; The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
12 Вана син Ахилудов над Тенахом и Мегидоном и свијем Вет-Саном, који је до Сартане под Језраелом, од Вет-Сана до Авел-Меола, до преко Јок-Меама; Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth–shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth–shean to Abel–meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:
13 Син Геверов у Рамоту Галадском; имаше села Јаира сина Манасијина у Галаду и крај Арговски у Васану, шездесет великих градова са зидовима и пријеворницама мједенијем; The son of Geber, in Ramoth–gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:
14 Ахинадав син Идов у Маханајиму; Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:
15 Ахимас у Нефталиму; и он бјеше ожењен кћерју Соломуновом Васематом; Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
16 Вана син Хусајев у Асиру и у Алоту; Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
17 Јосафат син Фарујин у Исахару; Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
18 Симеј син Илин у Венијамину; Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
19 Гевер син Уријев у земљи Галадској, у земљи Сиона цара Аморејскога и Ога цара Васанскога; један бјеше пристав у тој земљи. Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
20 Јуде и Израиља бијаше много као пијеска покрај мора; и јеђаху и пијаху и весељаху се. Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
21 А Соломун владаше свијем царствима од ријеке до земље Филистејске и до међе Мисирске, и доношаху даре и служаху Соломуну свега вијека његова. And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22 А храна Соломунова бијаше на дан тридесет кора бијелога брашна, и шездесет кора другога брашна; And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
23 Двадесет волова угојенијех и двадесет с паше, и сто оваца, осим јелена и срна и дивокоза и угојенијех птица. Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.
24 Јер он владаше свуда с ову страну ријеке од Тапсе до Газе, над свијем царствима с ову страну ријеке, и бјеше миран са свију страна унаоколо. For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
25 И живљаху Јуда и Израиљ без страха, сваки под својом лозом и под својом смоквом, од Дана до Вирсавеје, свега вијека Соломунова. And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, all the days of Solomon.
26 И имаше Соломун четрдесет тисућа коња за јаслима за кола своја, и двадесет тисућа коњика. And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 И пристави храњаху цара Соломуна и све који долажаху за сто цара Соломуна, сваки свога мјесеца, и не дадијаху да се чега премакне. And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
28 А јечам и сламу за коње и за мазге доношаху на мјесто гдје бијаху, сваки како му бијаше одређено. Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
29 И Бог даде мудрост Соломуну и разум врло велик и срце пространо као пијесак на бријегу морском. And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30 Јер мудрост Соломунова бијаше већа од мудрости свијех источнијех народа и од све мудрости Мисирске. And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 Мудрији бијаше од свакога човјека, и од Етана Езраита и од Емана и од Халкола и од Дарде, синова Маоловијех; и разгласи се име његово по свијем народима унаоколо. For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32 И изговори три тисуће прича, и бијаше пјесама његовијех тисућа и пет. And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33 Говорио је и о дрвећу, од кедра на Ливану до исопа који ниче из зида; говорио је и о стоци и о птицама и о бубинама и о рибама. And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 И долажаху од свијех народа да чују мудрост Соломунову, од свијех царстава на земљи, који чуше за мудрост његову. And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
