| 1 | Тада узе народ земаљски Јоахаза сина Јосијина, и зацарише га мјесто оца његова у Јерусалиму. | Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father’s stead in Jerusalem. |
| 2 | Двадесет и три године имаше Јоахаз кад поче царовати, и царова три мјесеца у Јерусалиму. | Jehoahaz was twenty and three years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. |
| 3 | Јер га сврже цар Мисирски у Јерусалиму и оглоби земљу сто таланата сребра и таланат злата. | And the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem, and condemned the land in an hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold. |
| 4 | И постави цар Мисирски Елијакама брата његова царем над Јудом и Јерусалимом, и предје му име Јоаким; а Јоахаза брата његова узе Нехаон и одведе га у Мисир. | And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt. |
| 5 | Двадесет и пет година бијаше Јоакиму кад поче царовати, и царова једанаест година у Јерусалиму; и чињаше зло пред Господом Богом својим. | Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord his God. |
| 6 | И дође на њ Навуходоносор цар Вавилонски, и свеза га у двоје вериге мједене и одведе га у Вавилон. | Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon. |
| 7 | И судове дома Господњега однесе Навуходоносор у Вавилон, и метну их у цркву своју у Вавилону. | Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of the Lord to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon. |
| 8 | А остала дјела Јоакимова и гадове које је чинио, и што се на њему нађе, ето, то је записано у књизи о царевима Израиљевијем и Јудинијем; и зацари се на његово мјесто Јоахин син његов. | Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead. |
| 9 | Бијаше Јоахину осам година кад поче царовати, и царова три мјесеца и десет дана у Јерусалиму; и чињаше што је зло пред Господом. | Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord. |
| 10 | И кад прође она година, посла цар Навуходоносор, те га однесоше у Вавилон са закладама дома Господњега, а царем постави Седекију брата његова над Јудом и Јерусалимом. | And when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the Lord, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem. |
| 11 | Двадесет и једна година бијаше Седекији кад поче царовати, и царова једанаест година у Јерусалиму. | Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. |
| 12 | И чињаше зло пред Господом Богом својим, и не покори се пред Јеремијом пророком, који му говораше из уста Господњих; | And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the Lord. |
| 13 | Него се још одврже од цара Навуходоносора, који га бјеше заклео Богом; и отврдну вратом својим и уприје се срцем својим да се не обрати ка Господу Богу Израиљеву. | And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the Lord God of Israel. |
| 14 | И сви главари између свештеника и народ гријешаше веома много по свијем гаднијем дјелима другијех народа, скврнећи дом Господњи, који бјеше осветио у Јерусалиму. | Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the Lord which he had hallowed in Jerusalem. |
| 15 | И Господ Бог отаца њиховијех слаше к њима зарана једнако гласнике своје, јер му бјеше жао народа његова и стана његова. | And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place: |
| 16 | А они се ругаху гласницима Божјим, и не мараху за ријечи његове, и смијаху се пророцима његовијем, докле се не распали гњев Господњи на народ његов, те не би лијека. | But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy. |
| 17 | И доведе на њих цара Халдејскога, који поби младиће њихове мачем у дому светиње њихове, и не пожали ни младића ни дјевојке, ни старца ни немоћна. Све му даде у руке. | Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave them all into his hand. |
| 18 | И све судове дома Божијега, велике и мале, и благо дома Господњега и благо царево и кнезова његовијех, све однесе у Вавилон. | And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon. |
| 19 | И упалише дом Божји, и развалише зид Јерусалимски, и све дворове у њему попалише огњем, и искварише све драгоцјене закладе његове. | And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof. |
| 20 | И што их оста од мача, однесе у Вавилон и бише робови њему и синовима његовијем, докле не наста царство Персијско, | And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia: |
| 21 | Да се испуни ријеч Господња коју рече устима Јеремијинијем, докле се земља не издовољи суботама својим, јер почиваше све вријеме докле бјеше пуста, докле се не наврши седамдесет година. | To fulfil the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years. |
| 22 | Али прве године Кира цара Персијскога, да би се испунила ријеч Господња коју рече на уста Јеремијина, подиже Господ дух Кира цара Персијскога, те огласи по свему царству својему и расписа говорећи: | Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, |
| 23 | Овако вели Кир цар Персијски: сва царства земаљска дао ми је Господ Бог небески, и он ми је заповједио да му сазидам дом у Јерусалиму у Јудеји. Ко је између вас од свега народа његова? Господ Бог његов нека буде с њим, па нек иде. | Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the Lord God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The Lord his God be with him, and let him go up. |
