| 1 | Потом дођоше к мени неки од старјешина Израиљевијех и сједоше преда ме. | Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me. |
| 2 | И дође ми ријеч Господња говорећи: | And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, |
| 3 | Сине човјечји, ови су људи ставили у срца своја гадне богове своје, и метнули су преда се о што се спотичу на безакоње своје; траже ли ме доиста? | Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them? |
| 4 | Зато говори им и реци им: овако вели Господ Господ: ко је год од дома Израиљева ставио у срце своје гадне богове своје и метнуо преда се о што се спотиче на безакоње своје, па дође к пророку, ја Господ одговорићу му кад дође за мноштво гаднијех богова његовијех, | Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols; |
| 5 | Да ухватим дом Израиљев за срце њихово што су се одвратили од мене сви за гаднијем боговима својим. | That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols. |
| 6 | Зато реци дому Израиљеву: овако вели Господ Господ: обратите се и отступите од гаднијех богова својих, одвратите лице своје од свијех гадова својих. | Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations. |
| 7 | Јер ко би год од дома Израиљева или од иностранаца који живе у Израиљу отступио од мене, и ставио у срце своје гадне богове своје, и метнуо преда се о што ће се спотицати на безакоње своје, па би дошао к пророку да ме упита преко њега, њему ћу одговорити ја сам Господ собом. | For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the Lord will answer him by myself: |
| 8 | И окренућу лице своје према том човјеку, и учинићу од њега знак и причу, и истријебићу га из народа својега, те ћете познати да сам ја Господ. | And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the Lord. |
| 9 | И ако би се пророк преварио, те рекао што, ја Господ преварих онога пророка, и дигнућу руку своју на њ, и истријебићу га из народа својега Израиља. | And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel. |
| 10 | И понијеће обојица своје безакоње: како је безакоње онога који пита тако ће бити и пророково безакоње, | And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him; |
| 11 | Да више дом Израиљев не отступа од мене и да се више не скврне свакојаким пријеступима својим, него да ми буду народ, и ја да им будем Бог, говори Господ Господ. | That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord God. |
| 12 | Опет ми дође ријеч Господња говорећи: | The word of the Lord came again to me, saying, |
| 13 | Сине човјечји, ако ми која земља згријеши учинивши невјеру, и ја дигнем руку своју на њу и сломим јој потпору у хљебу, и пустим на њу глад и истријебим у њој људе и стоку, | Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it: |
| 14 | Ако би у њој била ова три човјека: Ноје, Данило и Јов, они ће правдом својом избавити душе своје, говори Господ Господ. | Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord God. |
| 15 | Ако пустим љуте звијери у земљу, те поморе људе, и она опусти да нико не може пролазити од звијерја; | If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts: |
| 16 | Ако би у њој била та три човјека, тако ја жив био, говори Господ Господ, неће избавити синова ни кћери, него ће се сами избавити, а земља ће опустјети. | Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord God, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate. |
| 17 | Или ако мач пустим на ту земљу, и речем: мачу, прођи ту земљу, да истријебим у њој људе и стоку; | Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it: |
| 18 | Ако би та три човјека била у њој, тако ја био жив, говори Господ Господ, неће избавити синова ни кћери, него ће се сами избавити. | Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord God, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only shall be delivered themselves. |
| 19 | Или ако пустим помор на земљу и излијем гњев свој на њу да би крв текла да истријебим у њој људе и стоку; | Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast: |
| 20 | Ако би Ноје, Данило и Јов били у њој, тако ја жив био, говори Господ Господ, неће избавити сина ни кћери, него ће своје душе избавити правдом својом. | Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord God, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness. |
| 21 | Јер овако вели Господ Господ: акамоли кад пустим четири љута зла своја, мач и глад и зле звијери и помор на Јерусалим, да истријебим у њему људе и стоку. | For thus saith the Lord God; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast? |
| 22 | И опет, гле, неколико ће их остати у њему који ће се избавити, синови или кћери, они ће изаћи к вама, и видјећете пут њихов и дјела њихова, и утјешићете се за зло које ћу пустити на Јерусалим, за све што ћу пустити на њ. | Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it. |
| 23 | И они ће вас утјешити кад видите пут њихов и дјела њихова; и познаћете да нијесам без узрока учинио што сам год учинио у њему, говори Господ Господ. | And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord God. |
