1 Боже од освете, Господе, Боже од освете, покажи се! O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
2 Подигни се, судијо земаљски, подај заслугу охолима. Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
3 Докле ће се безбожници, Господе, докле ће се безбожници хвалити? Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
4 Руже и охоло говоре, величају се сви који чине безакоње. How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
5 Газе народ твој, Господе, и достојање твоје муче. They break in pieces thy people, O Lord, and afflict thine heritage.
6 Удовицу и дошљака убијају, и сироте море. They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
7 И говоре: неће видјети Господ, и неће дознати Бог Јаковљев. Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.
8 Оразумите се, прелуди људи! будале! кад ћете бити паметни? Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
9 Који је створио ухо, зар не чује? и који је око начинио, зар не види? He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
10 Зар неће обличити који народе уразумљује, који учи човјека да зна? He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
11 Господ зна мисли људима како су ништаве. The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
12 Благо човјеку кога ти, Господе, уразумљујеш, и законом својим учиш; Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;
13 Да би му дао мир у зле дане, док се ископа јама безбожнику. That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
14 Јер неће одбацити Господ народа својега, и достојања својега неће оставити. For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
15 Јер ће се суд вратити на правду, и њега ће наћи сви права срца. But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
16 Ко ће устати за мене супрот злима? ко ће стати за мене супрот онима који чине безакоње? Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
17 Кад ми Господ не би био помоћник, брзо би се душа моја преселила онамо гдје се мучи. Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
18 Кад речем: дркће ми нога, милост твоја, Господе, прихвата ме. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.
19 Кад се умноже бриге у срцу мом, утјехе твоје разговарају душу моју. In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
20 Еда ли ће се близу тебе стати пријесто крвнички, и онај који намишља насиље насупрот закону? Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
21 Спремају се на душу праведникову, и крв праву окривљују. They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
22 Али је Господ моје пристаниште, и Бог је мој тврдо уточиште моје. But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
23 Он ће им вратити за безакоње њихово, за њихову злоћу истријебиће их, истријебиће их Господ, Бог наш. And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.
