1 Господе! немој ме карати у гњеву својем, нити ме наказати у јарости својој. O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 Јер стријеле твоје устријелише ме, и рука ме твоја тишти. For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.
3 Нема здрава мјеста на тијелу мојем од гњева твојега; нема мира у костима мојим од гријеха мојега. There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.
4 Јер безакоња моја изађоше врх главе моје, као тешко бреме отежаше ми. For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
5 Усмрдјеше се и загнојише се ране моје од безумља мојега. My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
6 Згрчио сам се и погурио веома, вас дан идем сјетан; I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
7 Јер сам изнутра пун огња, и нема здрава мјеста на тијелу мојем. For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
8 Изнемогох и веома ослабих, ричем од трзања срца својега. I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
9 Господе! пред тобом су све жеље моје, и уздисање моје није од тебе сакривено. Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
10 Срце моје јако куца, остави ме снага моја, и вид очију мојих, ни њега ми нема. My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
11 Другови моји и пријатељи моји видећи ране моје отступише, далеко стоје ближњи моји. My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
12 Који траже душу моју намјештају замку, и који су ми злу ради, говоре о погибли и по вас дан мисле о пријевари. They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
13 А ја као глух не чујем и као нијем који не отвора уста својијех. But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
14 Ја сам као човјек који не чује или нема у устима својим правдања. Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
15 Јер тебе, Господе, чекам, ти одговарај за мене, Господе, Боже мој! For in thee, O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.
16 Јер рекох: да ми се не свете, и да се не размећу нада мном, кад се спотакне нога моја. For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
17 Јер сам готов пасти, и туга је моја свагда са мном. For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.
18 Признајем кривицу своју, и тужим ради гријеха својега. For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
19 Непријатељи моји живе, јаки су, и сила их има што ме ненавиде на правди. But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
20 Који ми враћају зло за добро, непријатељи су ми зато што сам пристао за добрим. They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.
21 Немој ме оставити, Господе, Боже мој! немој се удаљити од мене. Forsake me not, O Lord: O my God, be not far from me.
22 Похитај у помоћ мени, Господе, спаситељу мој! Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
