| 1 | Господе! ти ме кушаш и знаш. | O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. |
| 2 | Ти знаш кад сједем и кад устанем; ти знаш помисли моје издалека; | Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. |
| 3 | Кад ходим и кад се одмарам, ти си око мене, и све путове моје видиш. | Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. |
| 4 | Још нема ријечи на језику мом, а ти, Господе, гле, већ све знаш. | For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. |
| 5 | Састраг и спријед ти си ме заклонио, и ставио на ме руку своју. | Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. |
| 6 | Чудно је за ме знање твоје, високо, не могу да га докучим. | Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. |
| 7 | Куда бих отишао од духа твојега, и од лица твојега куда бих утекао? | Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? |
| 8 | Да изађем на небо, ти си ондје. Да сиђем у пакао, ондје си. | If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. |
| 9 | Да се дигнем на крилима од зоре, и преселим се на крај мора: | If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; |
| 10 | И ондје ће ме рука твоја водити, и држати ме десница твоја. | Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. |
| 11 | Да речем: да ако ме мрак сакрије; али је и ноћ као видјело око мене. | If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. |
| 12 | Ни мрак неће замрачити од тебе, и ноћ је свијетла као дан: мрак је као видјело. | Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. |
| 13 | Јер си ти створио што је у мени, саставио си ме у утроби матере моје. | For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. |
| 14 | Хвалим те, што сам дивно саздан. Дивна су дјела твоја, и душа моја то зна добро. | I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. |
| 15 | Ниједна се кост моја није сакрила од тебе, ако и јесам саздан тајно, откан у дубини земаљској.. | My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. |
| 16 | Заметак мој видјеше очи твоје, у књизи је твојој све то записано, и дани забиљежени, кад их још није било ниједнога. | Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. |
| 17 | Како су ми недокучљиве помисли твоје, Боже! Како им је велик број! | How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! |
| 18 | Да их бројим, више их је него пијеска. Кад се пробудим, још сам с тобом. | If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. |
| 19 | Да хоћеш, Боже, убити безбожника! Крвопије, идите од мене. | Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. |
| 20 | Они говоре ружно на тебе; узимају име твоје узалуд непријатељи твоји. | For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. |
| 21 | Зар да не мрзим на оне, који на те мрзе, Господе, и да се не гадим на оне који устају на тебе? | Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? |
| 22 | Пуном мрзошћу мрзим на њих; непријатељи су ми. | I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. |
| 23 | Окушај ме, Боже, и познај срце моје, испитај ме, и познај помисли моје. | Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: |
| 24 | И види јесам ли на злу путу, и води ме на пут вјечни. | And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. |
