1 Хвалите Господа, јер је добар; јер је довијека милост његова. O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Тако нека реку које је избавио Господ, које је избавио из руке непријатељеве, Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 Скупио их из земаља, од истока и запада, од сјевера и мора. And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
4 Луташе по пустињи гдје се не живи, пута граду насељеноме не находише; They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
5 Бјеху гладни и жедни, и душа њихова изнемагаше у њима; Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 Али завикаше ка Господу у тузи својој; и избави их из невоље њихове. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 И изведе их на прав пут, који иде у град насељени. And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Нека хвале Господа за милост његову, и за чудеса његова ради синова људских! Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
9 Јер сити душу ташту, и душу гладну пуни добра. For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
10 Сједјеше у тами и у сјену смртном, оковани у тугу и у гвожђе; Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
11 Јер не слушаше ријечи Божијих, и не марише за вољу вишњега. Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
12 Он поништи срце њихово страдањем; спотакоше се, и не бјеше ко да поможе. Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
13 Али завикаше ка Господу у тузи својој, и избави их из невоље њихове; Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
14 Изведе их из таме и сјена смртнога, и раскиде окове њихове. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
15 Нека хвале Господа за милост његову, и за чудеса његова ради синова људских! Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
16 Јер разби врата мједена, и пријеворнице гвоздене сломи. For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
17 Безумници страдаше за неваљале путове своје, и за неправде своје. Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
18 Свако се јело гадило души њиховој, и дођоше до врата смртнијех. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
19 Али завикаше ка Господу у тузи својој, и избави их из невоље њихове. Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
20 Посла ријеч своју и исцијели их, и избави их из гроба њихова. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
21 Нека хвале Господа за милост његову, и за чудеса његова ради синова људских! Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
22 И нека принесу жртву за хвалу, и казују дјела његова у пјесмама! And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
23 Који плове по мору на корабљима, и раде на великим водама, They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
24 Они су видјели дјела Господња, и чудеса његова у дубини. These see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.
25 Каже, и диже се силан вјетар, и устају вали на њему, For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
26 Дижу се до небеса и спуштају до бездана: душа се њихова у невољи разлива; They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
27 Посрћу и љуљају се као пијани; све мудрости њихове нестаје. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
28 Али завикаше ка Господу у тузи својој, и изведе их из невоље њихове. Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
29 Он обраћа вјетар у тишину, и вали њихови умукну. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
30 Веселе се кад се стишају, и води их у пристаниште које желе. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
31 Нека хвале Господа за милост његову, и за чудеса његова ради синова људских! Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
32 Нека га узвишују на сабору народном, на скупштини старјешинској славе га! Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
33 Он претвара ријеке у пустињу, и изворе водене у сухоту, He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
34 Родну земљу у слану пустару за неваљалство онијех који живе на њој. A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
35 Он претвара пустињу у језера, и суху земљу у изворе водене, He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
36 И насељава онамо гладне. Они зидају градове за живљење; And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
37 Сију поља, саде винограде и сабирају љетину. And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
38 Благосиља их и множе се јако, и стоке им не умаљује. He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
39 Прије их бијаше мало, падаху од зла и невоље, што их стизаше. Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
40 Он сипа срамоту на кнезове, и оставља их да лутају по пустињи гдје нема путова. He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
41 Он извлачи убогога из невоље, и племена множи као стадо. Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
42 Добри виде и радују се, а свако неваљалство затискује уста своја. The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
43 Ко је мудар, нека запамти ово, и нека познаду милости Господње. Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the Lord.
