1 И кад сврши Исус ријечи ове, рече ученицима својима: And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,
2 Знате да ће до два дана бити пасха, и сина човјечијега предаће да се разапне. Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
3 Тада скупише се главари свештенички и књижевници и старјешине народне у двор поглавара свештеничкога по имену Кајафе; Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,
4 И свјетоваше се како би Исуса из пријеваре ухватили и убили. And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.
5 И говораху: али не о празнику, да се не би народ побунио. But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.
6 А кад Исус бјеше у Витанији у кући Симона губавога, Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
7 Приступи к њему жена са скленицом мира многоцјенога, и изли на главу његову кад сјеђаше за трпезом. There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
8 А кад видјеше то ученици његови, расрдише се говорећи: зашто се чини така штета? But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
9 Јер се могаше ово продати скупо и новци дати сиромасима. For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.
10 А кад разумје Исус, рече им: шта сметате жену? Она учини добро дјело на мени. When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
11 Јер сиромахе имате свагда са собом, а мене немате свагда. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
12 А она изливши миро ово на тијело моје за укоп ме приготови. For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.
13 Заиста вам кажем: гдје се год успроповиједа ово јеванђеље по свему свијету, казаће се и то за спомен њезин што учини она. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
14 Тада један од дванаесторице, по имену Јуда Искариотски, отиде ка главарима свештеничкијем, Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
15 И рече: шта ћете ми дати да вам га издам? А они му обрекоше тридесет сребрника. And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.
16 И отада тражаше згоду да га изда. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
17 А у први дан пријеснијех хљебова приступише ученици к Исусу говорећи: гдје ћеш да ти зготовимо пасху да једеш? Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
18 А он рече: идите у град к томе и томе, и кажите му: учитељ каже: вријеме је моје близу, у тебе ћу да учиним пасху с ученицима својијем. And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
19 И учинише ученици како им заповједи Исус, и уготовише пасху. And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.
20 А кад би увече, сједе за трпезу са дванаесторицом. Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
21 И кад јеђаху рече им: заиста вам кажем: један између вас издаће ме. And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
22 И забринувши се врло почеше сваки говорити му: да нијесам ја, Господе? And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?
23 А он одговарајући рече: који умочи са мном руку у здјелу онај ће ме издати. And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
24 Син човјечиј дакле иде као што је писано за њега; али тешко ономе човјеку који изда сина човјечијега; боље би му било да се није ни родио онај човјек. The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
25 А Јуда, издајник његов, одговарајући рече: да нијесам ја, рави? Рече му: ти каза. Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.
26 И кад јеђаху, узе Исус хљеб и благословивши преломи га, и даваше ученицима, и рече: узмите, једите; ово је тијело моје. And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 И узе чашу и давши хвалу даде им говорећи: пијте из ње сви; And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 Јер је ово крв моја новога завјета која ће се пролити за многе ради отпуштења гријеха. For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
29 Кажем вам пак да нећу отсад пити од овога рода виноградскога до онога дана кад ћу пити с вама новога у царству оца својега. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.
30 И отпојавши хвалу изиђоше на гору Маслинску. And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
31 Тада рече им Исус: сви ћете се ви саблазнити о мене ову ноћ; јер у писму стоји: ударићу пастира и овце од стада разбјежаће се. Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
32 А по васкрсенију својему ја идем пред вама у Галилеју. But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.
33 А Петар рече му: ако се и сви саблазне о тебе ја се нећу никад саблазнити. Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.
34 Рече му Исус: заиста ти кажем: ноћас док пијетао не запјева три пута ћеш ме се одрећи. Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
35 Рече њему Петар: да бих знао и умријети с тобом нећу те се одрећи. Тако и сви ученици рекоше. Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.
36 Тада дође Исус с њима у село које се зове Гетсиманија, и рече ученицима: сједите ту док ја идем тамо да се помолим Богу. Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
37 И узевши Петра и оба сина Заведејева забрину се и поче тужити. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
38 Тада рече им Исус: жалосна је душа моја до смрти; почекајте овдје, и стражите са мном. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
39 И отишавши мало паде на лице своје молећи се и говорећи: оче мој! ако је могуће да ме мимоиђе чаша ова; али опет не како ја хоћу него како ти. And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40 И дошавши к ученицима нађе их гдје спавају, и рече Петру: зар не могосте један час постражити са мном? And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41 Стражите и молите се Богу да не паднете у напаст; јер је дух срчан, али је тијело слабо. Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
42 Опет по други пут отиде и помоли се говорећи:оче мој! ако ме не може чаша ова мимоићи да је не пијем, нека буде воља твоја. He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
43 И дошавши нађе их опет гдје спавају; јер им бијаху очи отежале. And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.
44 И оставивши их отиде опет и трећи пут те се помоли говорећи оне исте ријечи. And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
45 Тада дође к ученицима својијем и рече им: једнако спавате и почивате; ево се приближи час, и син човјечиј предаје се у руке грјешника. Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46 Устаните да идемо; ево се приближи издајник мој. Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.
47 И док он још тако говораше, гле, Јуда, један од дванаесторице, дође, и с њим људи многи с ножевима и с кољем од главара свештеничкијех и старјешина народнијех. And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
48 А издајник његов даде им знак говорећи: кога ја цјеливам онај је; држите га. Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.
49 И одмах приступивши к Исусу рече: здраво, рави! и цјелива га. And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.
50 А Исус рече му: пријатељу! шта ћеш ти овдје? Тада приступивши дигоше руке на Исуса и ухватише га. And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.
51 И гле, један од онијех што бијаху са Исусом машивши се руком извади нож свој те удари слугу поглавара свештеничкога, и отсијече му ухо. And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest’s, and smote off his ear.
52 Тада рече му Исус: врати нож свој на мјесто његово; јер сви који се маше за нож од ножа ће изгинути. Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
53 Или мислиш ти да ја не могу сад умолити оца својега да ми пошље више од дванаест легеона анђела? Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 Али како би се испунило што стоји у писму да ово треба да буде? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
55 У тај час рече Исус људима: као на хајдука изишли сте с ножевима и с кољем да ме ухватите, а сваки дан сам код вас сједио учећи у цркви, и не ухватисте ме. In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.
56 А ово све би да се збуду писма пророчка. Тада ученици сви оставише га, и побјегоше. But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.
57 И они што ухватише Исуса одведоше га поглавару свештеничкоме Кајафи, гдје се књижевници и старјешине сабраше. And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
58 А Петар иђаше за њим издалека до двора поглавара свештеничкога и ушавши унутра сједе са слугама да види свршетак. But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest’s palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.
59 А главари свештенички и старјешине и сав сабор тражаху лажна свједочанства на Исуса да би га убили; Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;
60 И не нађоше; и премда многи лажни свједоци долазише, не нађоше. Најпослије дођоше два лажна свједока, But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,
61 И рекоше: он је казао: ја могу развалити цркву Божију и за три дана начинити је. And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.
62 И уставши поглавар свештенички рече му: зар ништа не одговараш што ови на тебе свједоче? And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
63 А Исус мучаше. И поглавар свештенички одговарајући рече му: заклињем те живијем Богом да нам кажеш јеси ли ти Христос син Божиј? But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
64 Рече му Исус: ти каза. Али ја вам кажем: отселе ћете видјети сина човјечијега гдје сједи с десне стране силе и иде на облацима небескијем. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
65 Тада поглавар свештенички раздрије хаљине своје говорећи: хули на Бога; шта нам требају више свједоци? ево сад чусте хулу његову. Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.
66 Шта мислите? А они одговарајући рекоше: заслужио је смрт. What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.
67 Тада пљунуше му у лице, и ударише га по лицу, а једни му даше и приушке Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,
68 Говорећи: прореци нам, Христе, ко те удари? Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?
69 А Петар сјеђаше напољу на двору, и приступи к њему једна слушкиња говорећи: и ти си био с Исусом Галилејцем. Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.
70 А он се одрече пред свима говорећи: не знам шта говориш. But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.
71 А кад изиђе к вратима угледа га друга, и рече онима што бијаху ондје: и овај бјеше са Исусом Назарећанином. And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.
72 Он опет одрече се клетвом: не знам тог човјека. And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.
73 А мало потом приступише они што стајаху и рекоше Петру: ваистину и ти си од њих; јер те и говор твој издаје. And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.
74 Тада се поче клети и преклињати да не зна тог човјека. И одмах запјева пијетао. Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.
75 И опомену се Петар ријечи Исусове што му је рекао: док пијетао не запјева три пута ћеш ме се одрећи. И изашавши напоље плака горко. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
