1 А за духовне дарове нећу вам, браћо, затајити. Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
2 Знате, да кад бијасте незнабошци, идосте к идолима безгласнима, како вас вођаху. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
3 Зато вам дајем на знање да нико ко духом Божијим говори неће рећи: анатемате Исуса; и нико не може Исуса Господом назвати осим Духом светијем. Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
4 Дарови су различни, али је Дух један. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 И различне су службе, али је један Господ. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6 И различне су силе, али је један Бог који чини све у свему. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7 А у свакоме се појављује Дух на корист; But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 Јер једноме се даје Духом ријеч премудрости; а другоме ријеч разума по истоме Духу; For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 А другоме вјера, тијем истијем Духом; а другоме дар исцјељивања, по томе истом Духу; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 А другоме да чини чудеса, а другоме пророштво, а другоме да разликује духове, а другоме различни језици, а другоме да казује језике. To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11 А ово све чини један и тај исти Дух раздјељујући по својој власти свакоме како хоће. But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
12 Јер као што је тијело једно и уде има многе, а сви уди једнога тијела, премда су многи, једно су тијело: тако и Христос. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13 Јер једнијем духом ми се сви крстисмо у једно тијело, били Јевреји, или Грци, или робови, или сами своји; и сви се једнијем Духом напојисмо. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 Јер тијело није један уд, него многи. For the body is not one member, but many.
15 Ако рече нога: ја нијесам рука, нијесам од тијела; еда ли зато није од тијела? If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16 И ако рече ухо: ја нијесам око, нијесам од тијела; еда ли зато није од тијела? Кад би све тијело било око, гдје је чувење? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17 А кад би све било чувење, гдје је мирисање? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
18 Али Бог постави све уде у тијелу како је кога хтио. But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
19 А кад би сви били један уд, гдје је тијело? And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20 Сад су пак многи уди а једно тијело. But now are they many members, yet but one body.
21 Али око не може рећи руци: не требаш ми; или опет глава ногама: не требате ми. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
22 Него још који се уди тијела чине да су најслабији најпотребнији су. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
23 И који нам се чине да су најсрамотнији на тијелу, на оне ударамо највећу част; And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
24 И непоштени наши уди највеће поштење имају; а поштени уди не требају. Али Бог сложи тијело и најхуђему уду даде највећу част, For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
25 Да не буде распре у тијелу, него да се уди једнако брину један за другога. That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26 И ако страда један уд, с њим страдају сви уди; а ако ли се један уд слави, с њим се радују сви уди. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
27 А ви сте тијело Христово, и уди међу собом. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
28 И једне дакле постави Бог у цркви прво апостоле, друго пророке, треће учитеље, а потом чудотворце, онда дарове исцјељивања, помагања, управљања, различне језике. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
29 Еда ли су сви апостоли? Еда ли су сви пророци? Еда ли су сви учитељи? Еда ли су сви чудотворци? Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
30 Еда ли сви имају дарове исцјељивања? Еда ли сви говоре језике? Еда ли сви казују? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
31 Старајте се пак за веће дарове; па ћу вам још бољи пут показати. But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
