| 1 | Dem Vorsänger. Von den Kindern Korahs. Ein Psalm. | Lord, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. |
| 2 | HERR, du warst einst gnädig deinem Land, hast das Gefängnis Jakobs gewendet, | Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah. |
| 3 | vergabst deines Volkes Schuld, decktest alle ihre Sünden zu, (Pause) | Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger. |
| 4 | du ließest ab von deinem Grimm, wandtest dich von deines Zornes Glut: | Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease. |
| 5 | Stelle uns wieder her, o Gott unsres Heils, laß ab von deinem Grimm gegen uns! | Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? |
| 6 | Oder willst du ewig mit uns zürnen, deinen Zorn währen lassen von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht? | Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? |
| 7 | Willst du uns nicht wieder neu beleben, daß dein Volk sich deiner freuen kann? | Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation. |
| 8 | HERR, laß uns deine Gnade schauen und schenke uns dein Heil! | I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. |
| 9 | Ich will hören, was Gott, der HERR, reden wird; denn er wird Frieden zusagen seinem Volk und seinen Frommen. Nur daß sie sich nicht wieder zur Torheit wenden! | Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. |
| 10 | Gewiß ist sein Heil denen nahe, die ihn fürchten, daß Herrlichkeit in unserm Lande wohne, | Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. |
| 11 | daß Gnade und Wahrheit einander begegnen, Gerechtigkeit und Friede sich küssen, | Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. |
| 12 | daß Treue aus der Erde sprieße und Gerechtigkeit vom Himmel schaue. | Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. |
| 13 | Der HERR wird uns auch Gutes geben, und unser Land wird seinen Ertrag abwerfen; | Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps. |
