| 2 | Gott ist in Juda bekannt, in Israel ist sein Name groß; | In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion. |
| 3 | in Salem ist sein Gezelt und seine Wohnung in Zion. | There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah. |
| 4 | Daselbst hat er die Blitze des Bogens zerbrochen, Schild, Schwert und Kriegsgerät. (Pause.) | Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey. |
