| 1 | Ein Wallfahrtslied. Aus der Tiefe rufe ich, HERR, zu dir: | Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord. |
| 2 | Herr, höre meine Stimme! Möchten deine Ohren aufmerksam sein auf die Stimme meines Flehens! | Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. |
| 3 | Wenn du Sünden behältst, HERR, wer kann bestehen? | If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? |
| 4 | Aber bei dir ist die Vergebung, auf daß man dich fürchte. | But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. |
| 5 | Ich harre des HERRN, meine Seele harrt, und ich hoffe auf sein Wort. | I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. |
| 6 | Meine Seele harrt des Herrn, mehr als die Wächter auf den Morgen, als die Wächter auf den Morgen. | My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. |
| 7 | Israel, hoffe auf den HERRN! Denn bei dem HERRN ist die Gnade, und viel Erlösung ist bei ihm. | Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. |
