| 2 | Meine Hilfe kommt von dem HERRN, der Himmel und Erde gemacht hat! | My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. |
| 3 | Er wird deinen Fuß nicht wanken lassen, und der dich behütet, schläft nicht. | He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. |
| 4 | Siehe, der Hüter Israels schläft noch schlummert nicht. | Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. |
| 5 | Der HERR behütet dich; der HERR ist dein Schatten über deiner rechten Hand, | The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. |
| 6 | daß dich am Tage die Sonne nicht steche, noch der Mond des Nachts. | The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. |
