| 3 | ⲉⲩⲕⲱⲗⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲓϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲥⲁϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲟⲙ. ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲥⲟⲛⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩϣⲡ̅ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲥⲟⲩⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲉ. | Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. |

| 8 | ⲧⲅⲩⲙⲛⲁⲥⲓⲁ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙ̅ⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϥⲣⲉ ⲧⲉ ⲡⲣⲟⲥⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ. ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϥⲣⲉ ⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ. ⲉⲩⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲥ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲣⲏⲧ ⲙ̅ⲡⲱⲛϩ̅. ⲡⲁⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲙⲁ ⲙⲛ̅ⲡⲁⲡⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ· | For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. |
