1	큰 창녀에게 내릴 심판 대접 일곱 개를 가진 그 일곱 천사 가운데 하나가 와서, 나에게 "이리로 오너라. 큰 바다 물 위에 앉은 큰 창녀가 받을 심판을 보여 주겠다.	And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2	세상의 왕들이 그 여자로 더불어 음행을 하였고, 땅에 사는 사람들이 그 여자의 음행의 포도주에 취하였다" 하고 말하였습니다.	With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3	그리고 그 천사는 성령으로 나를 휩싸서, 빈 들로 데리고 갔습니다. 나는 한 여자가 빨간 짐승을 타고 앉아 있는 것을 보았는데, 그 짐승은 하나님을 모독하는 이름들로 가득하였고, 머리 일곱과 뿔 열 개가 달려 있었습니다.	So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4	이 여자는 자주색과 빨간색 옷을 입고 금과 보석과 진주로 꾸미고, 손에는 금잔을 들고 있었는데, 그 속에는 가증한 것들과 자기 음행의 더러운 것들이 가득하였습니다.	And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5	그리고 이마에는 '땅의 음녀들과 가증한 물건들의 어머니, 큰 바빌론'이라는 비밀의 이름이 적혀 있었습니다.	And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6	그리고 나는 그 여자가 성도들의 피와 예수의 증인들의 피에 취하여 있는 것을 보았습니다.내가 그 여자를 보고 크게 놀라니,	And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
7	그 때에 천사가 나에게 말하였습니다. "왜 놀라느냐? 나는 이 여자의 비밀과, 이 여자를 태우고 다니는 머리 일곱과 뿔 열이 달린 그 짐승의 비밀을, 너에게 말하여 주겠다.	And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
8	네가 본 그 짐승은, 전에는 있었지만 지금은 없으며, 장차 아비소스에서 올라와서, 나중에는 멸망하여 버릴 자다. 그리고 땅 위에 사는 사람들 가운데 창세 때로부터 생명책에 이름이 적혀 있지 않은 사람들은, 그 짐승을 보고 놀랄 것이다. 그것은, 그 짐승이 전에는 있다가, 지금은 없으나, 장차 다시 나타날 것이기 때문이다.	The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
9	여기에 지혜를 가진 마음이 필요하다. 머리 일곱은 그 여자가 타고 앉은 일곱 산이요, 또한 일곱 왕이다.	And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10	그 가운데서 다섯은 이미 망하고, 하나는 있고, 또 다른 하나는 아직 나타나지 않았다. 그것이 나타날지라도, 잠깐밖에 머물지 못할 것이다.	And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11	또 전에 있다가 지금은 없는 그 짐승은 여덟 번째인데, 그것은 그 일곱 가운데 속한 것으로서, 마침내 멸망하여 버릴 자다.	And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
12	네가 본 열 뿔은 열 왕이다. 그들은 아직 나라를 차지하지 못하였지만, 그 짐승과 함께 한동안 왕권을 차지할 것이다.	And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13	그들은 한 마음이 되어서, 그들의 능력과 권세를 그 짐승에게 내줄 것이다.	These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
14	그들이 어린 양에게 싸움을 걸 터인데, 어린 양이 그들을 이길 것이다. 그것은, 어린 양이 만주의 주요 만왕의 왕이기 때문이며, 어린 양과 함께 있는 사람들이 부르심을 받고 택하심을 받은 신실한 사람들이기 때문이다."	These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
15	천사가 또 나에게 말하였습니다. "네가 본 물, 곧 그 창녀가 앉아 있는 물은 백성들과 무리들과 민족들과 언어들이다.	And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16	그리고 네가 본 그 열 뿔과 그 짐승은 그 창녀를 미워해서 비참하게 만들고 벌거벗은 꼴로 만들 것이다. 그들은 그 창녀의 살을 삼키고, 그 여자를 불에 태울 것이다.	And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17	그것은, 하나님께서 당신의 말씀을 이루실 때까지, 당신의 뜻을 행하려는 마음을 그들에게 주셔서, 그들이 한 마음이 되어, 그들의 나라를 그 짐승에게 주게 하셨기 때문이다.	For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
18	네가 본 그 여자는 세상의 임금들을 다스리는 통치권을 가진 큰 도시를 가리킨다."	And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
