1	거짓 예언자들과 싸우는 예레미야 요시야의 아들 시드기야가 유다 왕이 되어 다스리기 시작할 무렵에, 주께서 예레미야에게 말씀하셨다.	In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
2	주께서 나에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "너는 나무 멍에들을 만들어 밧줄을 달고, 그 멍에들을 네 목으로 메어다가,	Thus saith the Lord to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck,
3	지금 유다 왕 시드기야를 만나려고 예루살렘에 와 있는 사절들에게 나누어 주어, 그것들을 에돔 왕과 모압 왕과 암몬 사람의 왕과 두로 왕과 시돈 왕에게로 보내어라.	And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;
4	너는 또 그들에게 다음과 같이 명령하여, 각자 상전에게 전하게 하여라. '나 만군의 주, 이스라엘의 하나님이 이렇게 말한다. 너희는 각자 상전에게 전하여라.	And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;
5	내가 큰 권능과 편 팔로 이 땅을 만들고, 이 땅 위에 있는 사람과 짐승도 만들었다. 그러므로 나의 눈에 드는 사람에게 이 땅을 맡기겠다.	I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.
6	지금 나는 이 모든 나라를 나의 종 바빌로니아 왕 느부갓네살의 손에 맡겼으며, 들짐승도 그에게 맡겨서, 그가 부리게 하였다.	And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.
7	그러므로 모든 민족이 느부갓네살과 그의 아들과 그의 손자를 섬길 것이다. 물론 바빌로니아도 망하고 느부갓네살도 망할 때가 올 것이다. 그 때가 되면, 그의 나라도 강한 족속들과 위대한 왕들을 섬길 것이다.	And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.
8	그러나 바빌로니아 왕 느부갓네살을 섬기지 않으며, 바빌로니아 왕의 멍에를 목에 메지 않는 민족이나 나라가 있으면, 나는 그 민족을 전쟁과 기근과 염병으로 처벌해서라도, 그들을 바빌로니아 왕의 손에 멸망당하게 하겠다. 나 주의 말이다.	And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the Lord, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
9	그러므로 너희에게 있는 예언자들이나 점쟁이들이나 해몽가들이나 박수들이나 마술사들이 너희에게 바빌로니아 왕을 섬기지 않게 될 것이라고 말해도, 너희는 듣지 말아라.	Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:
10	그들의 예언은 거짓이다. 너희가 그들의 말을 듣게 되면, 너희는 고향 땅에서 멀리 쫓겨나게 될 것이다. 내가 너희를 내쫓아 멸망하게 할 것이다.	For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.
11	그러나 바빌로니아 왕의 멍에를 목에 메고, 그를 섬기는 민족에게는 내가 고향 땅에 남아 농사를 지으며, 그대로 살 수 있게 하겠다. 나 주의 말이다.'"	But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the Lord; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
12	나는 유다 왕 시드기야에게도 이와 똑같은 말을 전하였다. "여러분들은 바빌로니아 왕의 멍에를 메고, 그와 그의 백성을 섬겨서 살아 남도록 하십시오.	I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
13	주께서, 바빌로니아 왕을 섬기지 않는 백성은 전쟁과 기근과 염병으로 죽이겠다고 말씀하셨는데, 어찌하여 임금님과 임금님의 백성은 그와 같이 죽으려고 하십니까?	Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the Lord hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
14	그러므로 여러분에게, 바빌로니아 왕을 섬기지 않게 될 것이라고 예언하는 자들의 말을 듣지 마십시오. 그들이 여러분에게 하는 예언은 거짓입니다.	Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
15	주께서는 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. '나는 그들을 보내지 않았는데, 그들은 거짓으로 내 이름을 팔아 예언한다. 너희가 그 말을 들으면, 내가 너희를 쫓아낼 것이며, 너희는 그러한 예언자들과 함께 멸망하고 말 것이다' 하셨습니다."	For I have not sent them, saith the Lord, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.
16	그리고 나는 제사장들과 이 모든 백성에게 다음과 같이 말하였다. "나 주가 말한다. 너희는, 주의 성전의 기구들이 이제 곧 바빌로니아에서 되돌아올 것이라고 하는 너희 예언자들의 말을 듣지 말아라. 그들이 너희에게 하는 예언은 거짓이다.	Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the Lord’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
17	너희는 그들의 말을 듣지 말고, 바빌로니아 왕을 섬겨서 살아 남도록 하여라. 어찌하여 이 도성이 폐허가 되어야 하겠느냐?	Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?
18	그러므로 그들이 예언자들이라고 한다면, 정말로 그들이 주의 말씀을 받은 사람들이라면, 차라리 그들은 주의 성전과 유다 왕궁과 예루살렘에 아직 남아 있는 기구들을 더 이상 바빌로니아에 빼앗기지 않게 해 달라고, 만군의 주께 호소해야 옳을 것이다.	But if they be prophets, and if the word of the Lord be with them, let them now make intercession to the Lord of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the Lord, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
19	(나 만군의 주가 기둥과 놋바다와 받침대와 아직 이 도성에 남아 있는 기구,	For thus saith the Lord of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city,
20	곧 바빌로니아 왕 느부갓네살이 유다 왕 여호야김의 아들 여고니야와, 유다와 예루살렘의 모든 귀족을 예루살렘에서 바빌로니아로 붙잡아 갈 때에 남겨 두었던 것들에 관하여 말하겠다.)	Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
21	참으로 주의 성전과 유다 왕궁과 예루살렘에 남아 있는 그 기구를 두고, 나 만군의 주, 이스라엘의 하나님이 말한다.	Yea, thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the Lord, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;
22	그것들도 바빌로니아로 실려 가서, 내가 찾아올 때까지 그냥 그 곳에 남아 있을 것이다. 나 주의 말이다. 그리고 그 후에 내가 그것들을 이 곳으로 다시 옮겨 올 것이다."	They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the Lord; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.
