1	솔로몬의 업적(왕상 9:10-28) 솔로몬이 주의 성전과 자기의 궁전을 다 짓는 데에 스무 해가 걸렸다.	And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the Lord, and his own house,
2	곧 이어 솔로몬은 히람에게서 얻은 성읍들도 다시 건축하여, 거기에 이스라엘 자손을 살게 하였다.	That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
3	솔로몬은 또 하맛소바로 가서, 그 성읍을 점령하였다.	And Solomon went to Hamath–zobah, and prevailed against it.
4	그는 또 광야에 다드몰을 건축하고, 모든 양곡 저장 성읍들은 하맛에다가 건축하였다.	And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.
5	또 윗 벳호론과 아랫 벳호론에 성벽을 쌓고 문들을 만들어 달고 빗장을 질러, 그 곳을 요새 성읍으로 만들었다.	Also he built Beth–horon the upper, and Beth–horon the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
6	또 솔로몬은 자기에게 속한 바알랏과 양곡 저장 성읍들과 병거 주둔 성읍들과 기병 주둔 성읍들을 세웠다. 그래서 솔로몬은 예루살렘과 레바논과 그가 다스리는 모든 지역 안에, 그가 계획한 모든 것을 다 만들었다.	And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.
7	이스라엘 자손이 아닌 헷 사람과, 아모리 사람과 브리스 사람과 히위 사람과, 여부스 사람 가운데서 살아 남은 백성이 있었다.	As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,
8	솔로몬은 이 사람들을 노예로 삼아 강제노동에 동원하였다. 그들은, 이스라엘 자손이 다 멸하지 않고 그 땅에 남겨 둔 사람의 자손이다. 그래서 그들은 오늘날까지도 노예로 남아 있다.	But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.
9	그러나 솔로몬은 이스라엘 사람들 가운데서는 어느 누구도, 노예로 삼아 일을 시키지 않았다. 이스라엘 사람은 솔로몬의 군인, 관리들을 통솔하는 최고 지휘관, 병거대 지휘관과 기병대가 되었다.	But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.
10	솔로몬 왕의 일을 지휘한 관리 책임자들은 이백오십 명이었다. 그들은 백성을 감독하는 권한을 가진 사람들이다.	And these were the chief of king Solomon’s officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.
11	솔로몬은 바로의 딸을 '다윗 성'에서 데려다가, 그가 살 궁을 따로 세우고 그 궁에서 살게 하였다. 솔로몬은, 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 궁은 주의 궤를 모신 거룩한 곳이므로, 그의 이방인 아내가 거기에서 살아서는 안 된다고 생각한 것이다.	And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the Lord hath come.
12	그 때에 솔로몬은, 자기가 현관 앞에 세운 주의 제단에서, 주께 번제를 드렸다.	Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the Lord on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch,
13	그는 안식일과 새 달과 해마다 세 번 지키는 절기인 무교절과 칠칠절과 초막절에 대하여, 모세가 명령한 제사의 일과를 그대로 하였다.	Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
14	솔로몬은 또 자기의 아버지 다윗이 정한 법을 좇아, 제사장들을 갈래를 따라 차례대로 봉사하게 하였고, 레위 사람에게도 직책을 맡겨서, 날마다 찬송하는 일과 제사장들을 보좌하는 일을 시켰다. 그는 또 문지기들을 갈래를 따라 여러 문을 지키게 하였다. 하나님의 사람 다윗이 명령한 그대로였다.	And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.
15	제사장들과 레위 사람들은, 곳간 관리에 이르기까지 온갖 일에 있어서, 다윗 왕이 명령한 것은 어느 것 하나도 어기지 않고 따랐다.	And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
16	이렇게 주의 성전 기초가 놓인 날부터 시작하여 그 공사가 완성되기까지, 솔로몬의 모든 건축 공사가 잘 진행되었으니, 주의 성전이 비로소 완공되었다.	Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, and until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was perfected.
17	그 때에 솔로몬이 에돔 땅의 성읍인 에시온게벨 항구와 엘롯 항구로 갔더니,	Then went Solomon to Ezion–geber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.
18	히람이 신하들을 시켜서 솔로몬에게 상선들을 보내고, 바다에 노련한 부하들도 보냈다. 그들은 솔로몬의 부하들과 함께 오빌로 가서, 거기에서 금 사백오십 달란트를 실어다가 솔로몬에게 바쳤다.	And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
