1	베냐민 지파에서 다윗을 따른 사람들 다윗이 기스의 아들 사울에게 쫓겨서 시글락에 있을 때에, 그에게 와서 싸움을 도운 용사들은 다음과 같다.	Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.
2	이들은 좌우 양손으로 무릿매 돌도 던질 줄 알며 화살도 쏠 줄 아는 사람들로서, 활로 무장을 한 사람들인데, 베냐민 지파 사울의 일족이다.	They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in hurling stones and shooting arrows out of a bow, even of Saul’s brethren of Benjamin.
3	그들의 우두머리는 아히에셀이고, 그 다음은 요아스인데, 이들은 기브아 사람인 스마아의 두 아들이다. 아스마웻의 아들 여시엘과 벨렛과, 아나돗 사람인 브라가와 예후와,	The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite,
4	서른 명 용사 가운데 하나이며, 서른 명의 우두머리인 기브온 사람 이스마야이고, 또 예레미야와, 야하시엘과, 요하난과, 그데라 사람인 요사밧과,	And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,
5	엘루새와, 여리못과, 브아랴와, 스마랴와, 하룹 사람인 스바댜와,	Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,
6	고라 사람인 엘가나와, 잇시야와, 아사렐과, 요에셀과, 야소브암과,	Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korhites,
7	그돌 사람으로, 여로함의 아들인 요엘라와, 스바댜이다.	And Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
8	갓 지파에서 다윗을 따른 사람들 갓 지파 가운데서 광야에 있는 요새로 다윗을 찾아간 사람들이 있었다. 그들은 용맹스러운 용사들이요, 방패와 창을 다룰 줄 아는, 싸움에 익숙한 군인들이다. 그들의 얼굴은 사자의 얼굴과 같고 빠르기는 산의 노루와 같았다.	And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;
9	그들의 우두머리는 에셀이고, 둘째는 오바댜이고, 셋째는 엘리압이고,	Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
10	넷째는 미스만나이고, 다섯째는 예레미야이고,	Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
11	여섯째는 앗대이고, 일곱째는 엘리엘이고,	Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12	여덟째는 요하난이고, 아홉째는 엘사밧이고,	Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
13	열째는 예레미야이고, 열한째는 막반내이다.	Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.
14	이들은 갓 자손의 군대 지휘관으로서, 그 가운데 계급이 낮은 사람은 백 명을 거느렸고, 높은 사람은 천 명을 거느렸다.	These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.
15	어느 해 첫째 달, 요단 강 물이 모든 강둑에 넘칠 때에, 그들은 강을 건너가 골짜기에 사는 모든 사람을 쳐서 동서로 도망 치게 하였다.	These are they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown all his banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.
16	베냐민과 유다에서 다윗을 따른 사람들 베냐민과 유다 자손 가운데서 요새로 다윗을 찾아온 사람들이 있었다.	And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.
17	다윗이 나가서 그들을 맞으며 말하였다. "여러분이 나를 돕고 화친할 목적으로 왔다면, 나는 여러분과 연합할 마음이 있소. 그러나 내게 아무런 악행이 없는데도 여러분이 나를 배반하여 적에게 넘긴다면, 우리 조상의 하나님께서 이를 보시고, 여러분을 벌하시기를 바라오."	And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.
18	그 때에 삼십인의 우두머리인 아마새가 성령에 사로잡혀 말하였다. "다윗 장군님, 우리는 장군님의 부하입니다. 이새의 아드님, 우리는 장군님의 편입니다. 하나님이 장군님을 돕는 분이시니 평화에 평화를 누리십시오. 장군님을 돕는 사람에게도 평화가 깃들기를 빕니다."다윗은 그들을 기꺼이 받아들여 군대장관으로 삼았다.	Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
19	므낫세에서 다윗을 따른 사람들 므낫세 지파에서도 다윗에게 온 사람들이 있었다. 그 때에 다윗이 블레셋과 함께 나아가 사울과 전쟁을 하려 하였지만, 그들을 도울 수가 없었다. 블레셋 지도자들이 의논한 뒤에 "그가 우리 머리를 베어서 그의 왕 사울에게 투항할 것이 아니냐?" 하고 말하면서, 다윗을 돌려보냈기 때문이다.	And there fell some of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.
20	다윗이 시글락으로 돌아갈 때에, 므낫세 지파에서 그에게 합세한 사람은 아드나와 요사밧과 여디아엘과 미가엘과 요사밧과 엘리후와 실르대이다. 이들은 모두 므낫세 지파의 천부장이다.	As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that were of Manasseh.
21	그들은 모두 다 용맹스러운 용사들이어서, 다윗을 도와 침략자들을 쳤다. 이들은 모두 군대장관이 되었다.	And they helped David against the band of the rovers: for they were all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.
22	날마다 다윗을 도우려는 사람이 모여들어 하나님의 군대와 같은 큰 군대를 이루었다.	For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.
23	다윗의 병력 목록 싸우려고 무장하고 헤브론으로 다윗을 찾아와서, 주의 말씀대로, 사울의 나라가 다윗에게 돌아오도록 공을 세운 사람의 수는 다음과 같다.	And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the Lord.
24	유다 자손 가운데서 방패와 창으로 무장한 군인이 육천팔백 명이고,	The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.
25	시므온 자손 가운데서 싸운 용맹스러운 용사는 칠천백 명이다.	Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
26	레위 자손 가운데서는 사천육백 명인데,	Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
27	아론 가문의 영도자 여호야다가 거느린 사람은 삼천칠백 명이고,	And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred;
28	젊은 용사 사독과 그의 가문의 지휘관이 스물두 명이다.	And Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father’s house twenty and two captains.
29	사울의 동족인 베냐민 자손 가운데서는 삼천 명이 나왔다. (그들 대다수는 그 때까지 충실히 사울 가문을 지켜 왔다.)	And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.
30	에브라임 자손 가운데서는 이만 팔백 명인데, 그들은 다 자기 가문에서 유명한 사람들로서, 용맹스러운 용사들이다.	And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers.
31	므낫세 반쪽 지파 가운데서는 만 팔천 명이 나왔는데, 그들은 다윗에게 가서 그를 왕으로 추대하도록 지명받은 사람들이다.	And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name, to come and make David king.
32	잇사갈 자손의 우두머리 이백 명이 그들의 모든 부하를 이끌고 왔다. (그들은 때를 잘 분간할 줄 알고, 이스라엘이 하여야 할 바를 아는 사람들이다.)	And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.
33	스불론에서는 갖가지 무기로 무장하여 전투 채비를 갖추고, 두 마음을 품지 않고 모여든 군인이 오만 명이다.	Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.
34	납달리에서는, 지휘관이 천 명이고, 그들과 함께 창과 방패를 들고 온 사람이 삼만 칠천 명이다.	And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.
35	단에서는 전투 채비를 한 군인이 이만 팔천육백 명이 나왔다.	And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.
36	아셀에서는 전투 채비를 하고 나온 군인이 사만 명이다.	And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.
37	요단 강 동쪽에 있는 르우벤과 갓과 므낫세 반쪽 지파에서는 갖가지 무기를 가진 군인이 십이만 명이 나왔다.	And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.
38	전투 채비를 한 이 모든 군인이, 다윗을 온 이스라엘의 왕으로 추대하려고, 충성된 마음으로 헤브론으로 왔다. 그 밖에 남은 이스라엘 사람도 모두 다윗을 왕으로 추대하는 데 뜻을 같이하였다.	All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
39	그들의 동족이 음식까지 마련하여 주어서, 그들은 거기에서 다윗과 함께 사흘을 지내며, 먹고 마셨다.	And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
40	또 그 근처에 있는 잇사갈과 스불론과 납달리에서도, 사람들이 음식물을 나귀와 낙타와 노새와 소에 실어 왔다. 밀가루 빵과 무화과 빵과 건포도와 포도주와 소와 양을 많이 가져 오니, 이스라엘에 기쁨이 넘쳤다.	Moreover they that were nigh them, even unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, and meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for there was joy in Israel.
