1	예루살렘은 타 버린 포도나무 주께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.	And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2	"사람아, 포도나무, 곧 삼림 가운데 있는 그 덩굴이 다른 모든 나무에 비해 나은 점이 있느냐?	Son of man, What is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the forest?
3	거기에서 무슨 물건을 만들 목재가 나오느냐? 그것으로 나무 못을 만들어서 무슨 물건을 거기에다 걸어 둘 수 있느냐?	Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?
4	그것은 땔감으로 불 속에나 던져 버릴 것이다. 그 양쪽 끝은 타 없어졌고, 그 가운데 부분도 그을었는데, 그것이 물건을 만드는 데 무슨 소용이 있겠느냐?	Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire devoureth both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it meet for any work?
5	그 포도나무가 온전할 때에도 무슨 물건을 만드는 데 쓰일 수 없었거늘, 하물며 그것이 불에 타고 그을었으니, 무슨 쓸모가 더 있겠느냐?	Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less shall it be meet yet for any work, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned?
6	그러므로 나 주 하나님이 말한다. 삼림 가운데 있는 포도나무를 내가 불 속에 땔감으로 던져 넣듯이, 예루살렘의 주민을 불 속에 던지겠다.	Therefore thus saith the Lord God; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
7	내가 그들을 대적하겠다. 비록 그들이 불 속에서 피하여 나온다 해도, 불이 다시 그들을 삼킬 것이다. 내가 그들을 대적하면, 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 내가 주인 줄 알 것이다. 그들이 크게 배신하였기 때문에, 내가 그 땅을 황무지가 되게 하겠다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다."	And I will set my face against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I set my face against them.
8	—	And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord God.
