1	순종하여 받는 복(레 26:3-13; 신 7:12-24) "너희가 주 너희 하나님의 말씀을 귀담아 듣고, 내가 오늘 너희에게 명한 그 모든 명령을 주의 깊게 지키면, 주 너희의 하나님이 너희를 세상의 모든 민족 위에 뛰어나게 하실 것이다.	And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2	너희가 주 너희 하나님의 말씀에 순종하면, 이 모든 복이 너희에게 찾아와서 너희를 따를 것이다.	And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
3	너희는 성읍에서도 복을 받고, 들에서도 복을 받을 것이다.	Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4	너희의 태가 복을 받아 자식을 많이 낳고, 땅이 복을 받아 열매를 풍성하게 내고, 집짐승이 복을 받아 번식할 것이니, 소도 많아지고 양도 새끼를 많이 낳을 것이다.	Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5	너희의 곡식 광주리도 반죽 그릇도 복을 받을 것이다.	Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6	너희는 들어와도 복을 받고, 나가도 복을 받을 것이다.	Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7	너희에게 대항하는 적들이 일어나도, 주께서는 너희가 보는 앞에서 그들을 치실 것이니, 그들이 한 길로 쳐들어왔다가, 일곱 길로 뿔뿔이 도망칠 것이다.	The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8	주께서 명하셔서, 너희의 창고와 너희의 손으로 하는 모든 일에 복이 넘치게 하실 것이다. 그리하여 주 너희의 하나님이 너희에게 주시는 땅에서 너희에게 복을 주실 것이다.	The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
9	너희가 주 너희 하나님의 명령을 지키고 그 길로만 걸으면, 주께서는 너희에게 맹세하신 대로, 너희를 당신의 거룩한 백성으로 삼으실 것이다.	The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways.
10	이 땅의 모든 백성이, 주께서 너희를 택하셔서 그의 백성으로 삼으신 것을 보고, 너희를 두려워할 것이다.	And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee.
11	주께서는, 너희에게 주시겠다고 너희의 조상에게 약속하신 이 땅에서, 너희 몸의 소생과 가축의 새끼와 땅의 소출이 풍성하도록 하여 주실 것이다.	And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12	주께서는, 그 풍성한 보물 창고 하늘을 여시고, 철을 따라서 너희 밭에 비를 내려 주시고, 너희가 하는 모든 일에 복을 주실 것이다. 그러므로 너희는 많은 민족에게 꾸어 주기는 하여도 꾸지는 않을 것이다.	The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13	오늘 내가 너희에게 명령하는 바, 너희가 주 너희 하나님의 명령을 진심으로 지키면, 주께서는 너희를 머리가 되게 하고, 꼬리가 되게 하지 않게 하시며, 너희를 오직 위에만 있게 하고, 아래에 있게 하지는 않으실 것이다.	And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
14	너희는, 좌로든지 우로든지, 내가 오늘 너희에게 명하는 이 모든 말씀을 벗어나지 말고, 다른 신들을 따라가서 섬기지 말아라."	And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15	불순종하여 받는 저주 "그러나 너희가 주 너희 하나님의 말씀을 듣지 않고, 또 내가 오늘 너희에게 명한 모든 명령과 규례를 지키지 않으면, 다음과 같은 온갖 저주가 너희에게 닥쳐올 것이다.	But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
16	너희는 성읍에서도 저주를 받고, 들에서도 저주를 받을 것이다.	Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
17	너희의 곡식 광주리도, 반죽 그릇도 저주를 받을 것이다.	Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
18	너희의 몸에서 태어난 자녀와 너희 땅의 곡식과 소 새끼와 양 새끼도 저주를 받을 것이다.	Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
19	너희는 들어와도 저주를 받고, 나가도 저주를 받을 것이다.	Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
20	너희가 악한 일을 하고 주를 잊게 될 때에, 주께서는 너희가 손을 대는 일마다 저주하고 혼돈시키고 책망하실 것이니, 너희가 순식간에 망할 것이다.	The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
21	주께서는, 너희가 들어가 차지하려는 땅에서, 너희의 몸이 전염병에 걸리게 하셔서, 마침내 죽게 하실 것이다.	The Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.
22	주께서는 폐병과 열병과 염증과 무더위와 한발과 열풍과 썩는 재앙을 내려서, 너희가 망할 때까지 치실 것이다.	The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.
23	너희 머리 위에 있는 하늘은 놋이 되어서 비를 내리지 못하고, 너희 아래에 있는 땅은 메말라서 쇠가 될 것이다.	And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.
24	주께서는 하늘로부터 너희 땅으로 모래와 티끌을 비처럼 내려서, 마침내 너희를 망하게 하실 것이다.	The Lord shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
25	주께서는 너희를 맞아 싸우는 적에게 너희가 패하게 하실 것이다. 너희가 한 길로 치러 나갔다가, 그들 앞에서 일곱 길로 도망하는 것을 보고, 땅 위에 있는 모든 나라가 놀라서 떨 것이다.	The Lord shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
26	너희의 주검이 공중의 온갖 새와 땅의 짐승들의 먹이가 될 것이나, 그것들을 쫓아 줄 사람이 없을 것이다.	And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.
27	주께서 이집트의 악성 종기와 치질과 옴과 습진을 내려 너희를 치실 것이니, 너희가 고침을 받지 못할 것이다.	The Lord will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.
28	주께서는 너희를 미치게도 하시고, 눈을 멀게도 하시고, 정신착란증을 일으키게도 하실 것이다.	The Lord shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
29	너희는, 마치 눈이 먼 사람이 어둠 속에서 더듬는 것처럼, 대낮에도 더듬을 것이다. 너희의 앞길이 막혀서 사는 날 동안 압제를 받고 착취를 당하겠지만, 너희를 구원해 줄 사람이 없을 것이다.	And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.
30	너희가 한 여자와 약혼해도 다른 남자가 그 여자를 욕보이고, 집을 지어도 그 집에서 살지 못하며, 포도원을 가꾸어도 그것을 따먹지 못할 것이다.	Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
31	너희의 소를 너희의 눈 앞에서 잡아도 너희가 먹지 못할 것이요, 너희의 나귀가 너희의 눈 앞에서 강탈을 당해도 도로 찾지 못할 것이요, 너희의 양 떼를 너희의 원수에게 빼앗겨도 너희를 도와줄 사람이 없을 것이다.	Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.
32	너희는 자녀들을 다른 민족에게 빼앗기고, 눈이 빠지도록 그들을 기다리다 지칠 것이며, 손에 힘이 하나도 없을 것이다.	Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand.
33	너희의 땅에서 거둔 곡식과 너희의 노력으로 얻은 모든 것을, 너희가 알지 못하는 백성이 다 먹을 것이다. 너희는 사는 날 동안 압제를 받으며, 짓밟히기만 할 것이다.	The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
34	너희는 너희의 눈으로 보는 일 때문에 미치고 말 것이다.	So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
35	주께서는 너희의 무릎과 발에 너희가 고칠 수 없는 악성 종기가 나게 하셔서, 발바닥으로부터 머리 꼭대기까지 번지게 하실 것이다.	The Lord shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.
36	주께서는, 너희를 다른 민족에게 넘기실 것이니, 너희가 받들어 세운 왕과 함께, 너희도 모르고 너희 조상도 알지 못하던 민족에게로 끌어 가실 것이며, 너희는 거기에서 나무와 돌로 만든 다른 신들을 섬길 것이다.	The Lord shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
37	너희는, 주께서 너희를 끌어 가신 곳의 모든 백성 가운데서, 놀램과 속담과 조롱거리가 될 것이다.	And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the Lord shall lead thee.
38	너희가 밭에 많은 씨앗을 뿌려도, 메뚜기가 먹어 버려서, 거둘 것이 적을 것이며,	Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
39	너희가 포도를 심고 가꾸어도, 벌레가 갉아먹어서, 포도도 따지 못하고, 포도주도 마시지 못할 것이며,	Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
40	너희의 온 나라에 올리브 나무가 있어도, 그 열매가 떨어져서, 너희는 그 기름을 몸에 바를 수 없을 것이다.	Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.
41	너희가 아들딸을 낳아도, 그들이 포로로 잡혀 가서, 너희의 자식이 되지 못할 것이다.	Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
42	너희의 모든 나무와 땅의 곡식을 메뚜기가 먹을 것이다.	All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.
43	너희 가운데 사는 외국 사람은 너희보다 점점 높아지고, 너희는 점점 낮아질 것이다.	The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
44	너희는 외국 사람에게 꾸기는 하여도, 꾸어 주지는 못할 것이다. 그들은 머리가 되고, 너희는 꼬리가 될 것이다.	He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.
45	이 모든 저주가 너희에게 내릴 것이다. 그 저주가 너희를 따르고 너희에게 미쳐서 너희가 망할 것이다. 너희가 주 너희의 하나님의 말씀에 순종하지 않았고 너희에게 명하신 그 명령과 규례를 지키지 않은 까닭이다.	Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
46	이 모든 저주는 너희와 너희의 자손에게 영원토록 표적과 경고가 될 것이다.	And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
47	모든 것이 넉넉한데도, 너희가 기쁘고 즐거운 마음으로 주 너희의 하나님을 섬기지 않기 때문에,	Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
48	너희는 굶주리고 목 마르고 헐벗고 모든 것이 부족하게 될 것이며, 게다가 주께서 보내신 원수들을 너희가 섬기게 될 것이다. 그들이 너희의 목에 쇠멍에를 지울 것이며, 너희는 마침내 죽고 말 것이다.	Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
49	주께서 땅 끝 먼 곳에서 한 민족을 보내셔서, 독수리처럼 너희를 덮치게 하실 것이다. 그들은 너희가 모르는 말을 쓰는 민족이다.	The Lord shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
50	그들은 생김새가 흉악한 민족이며, 노인을 우대하지도 않고, 어린 아이를 불쌍히 여기지도 않는다.	A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
51	그들이 너희의 집짐승 새끼와 너희 땅의 소출을 먹어 치울 것이니, 너희는 마침내 망하고 말 것이다. 그들이 곡식과 포도주와 기름과 소 새끼나 양 새끼 한 마리도 남기지 않아서, 마침내 너희는 멸망하고 말 것이다.	And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
52	그들은 너희 온 땅에서 성읍마다 포위하고, 너희가 굳게 믿고 있던 높고 튼튼한 성벽을 헐며, 주 너희의 하나님이 너희에게 주시는 땅의 모든 성읍에서 너희를 에워쌀 것이다.	And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the Lord thy God hath given thee.
53	너희의 원수가 너희를 에워싸서 너희에게 먹을거리가 떨어지면, 너희는 너희의 뱃속에서 나온 자식, 곧 주 너희의 하나님이 너희에게 주신 너희의 아들딸을 잡아서, 그 살을 먹을 것이다.	And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the Lord thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:
54	너희 가운데 아무리 온순하고 고귀한 남자라 하여도, 굶게 되면 그 형제와 그 품의 아내와 남아 있는 자식까지 외면할 것이며,	So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
55	자기가 먹는 자식의 살점을 어느 누구에게도 나누어 주지 않을 것이다. 이것은 너희의 원수가 너희의 모든 성읍을 에워싸서, 너희에게는 아무것도 남은 것이 없기 때문이다.	So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.
56	너희 가운데 아무리 온순하고 고귀한 부녀자, 곧 평소에 호강하며 살아서 발에 흙을 묻히지 않던 여자라도, 굶게 되면 그 품의 남편과 자식을 외면할 것이다.	The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
57	너희는 제 다리 사이에서 나온 어린 자식을 몰래 잡아먹을 것이다. 이것은, 너희 원수가 너희 성읍을 포위하고, 너희를 허기지게 하고, 너희에게 아무것도 먹을 것이 없게 하였기 때문이다.	And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.
58	너희가 이 책에 기록된 율법의 모든 말씀을 성심껏 지키지 않고, 주 너희 하나님의 영광스럽고 두려운 이름을 경외하지 않으면,	If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
59	주께서 너희와 너희의 자손에게 큰 재앙을 내리실 것이다. 그 재난이 크고 그치지 않을 것이며, 그 질병이 심하고, 오래 계속될 것이다.	Then the Lord will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
60	주께서는, 너희가 그렇게 무서워하던 이집트의 모든 질병을 가져다가, 너희에게 달라붙게 하실 것이다.	Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
61	또한 주께서는, 이 율법책에 기록도 되지 않은 온갖 질병과 재앙을, 너희가 망할 때까지 너희에게 내리실 것이다.	Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
62	너희가 하늘의 별같이 많아져도, 주 너희 하나님의 말씀을 듣지 않으면, 마지막에는 몇 사람밖에 남지 않을 것이다.	And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the Lord thy God.
63	주께서는 너희를 잘 되게 하여 주시고 기뻐하신 것처럼, 또 너희가 번성하는 것을 보시고서 기뻐하신 것같이, 너희가 멸망하는 것을 보시고서도 기뻐하실 것이다. 그렇게 되면 너희는, 너희가 들어가서 차지할 그 땅에서 뿌리가 뽑히고 말 것이다.	And it shall come to pass, that as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
64	주께서는, 땅 이 끝에서 저 끝까지, 모든 민족 가운데 너희를 흩으실 것이니, 너희는 그 곳에서 너희와 너희의 조상이 알지 못하던 나무와 돌로 된 우상을 섬길 것이다.	And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
65	너희는 그 민족들 가운데서 쉴 틈을 찾지 못하고, 발을 쉴 만한 곳도 찾지 못할 것이다. 오히려 주께서는 너희의 마음에 두려움을 주시고, 눈을 침침하게 하며, 정신을 몽롱하게 하실 것이다.	And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
66	너희는 언제나 생명의 위협을 느낄 것이며, 밤낮 두려워하여, 자신의 목숨을 건질 수 있을지조차도 확신할 수 없을 것이다.	And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
67	너희가 두려움과 공포에 사로잡혀서 너희의 눈으로 보는 것마다 무서워서, 아침에는 저녁이 되었으면 좋겠다고 하고, 저녁에는 아침이 되었으면 좋겠다고 할 것이다.	In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
68	주께서는 '다시는 그 길을 보지 않게 하겠다' 하고 약속하신 그 길로, 너희를 배에 태워 이집트로 끌고 가실 것이다. 거기에서는, 너희가 너희 몸뚱이를 원수들에게 남종이나 여종으로 팔려고 내놓아도, 사는 사람조차 없을 것이다."	And the Lord shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
