1	지휘자를 따라 부르는 노래, 다윗 내가 간절히 주님을 기다렸더니, 주께서 나를 굽어보시고, 나의 울부짖음을 들어 주셨네.	I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2	주께서 나를 절망의 구덩이에서 건져 주시고, 진흙 수렁에서 나를 건져 주셨네. 내가 반석을 딛고 서게 해주시고 내 걸음을 안전하게 해주셨네.	He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3	주께서 나의 입에 새 노래를, 우리 하나님께 드릴 그 찬송을 담아 주셨기에, 수많은 사람들이 나를 보고 두려운 마음으로 주님을 의지하네.	And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
4	복되어라, 주님을 신뢰하여 오만한 자와 거짓말을 하는 자에게 빠져들지 않는 사람.	Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
5	주, 나의 하나님, 주께서는 놀라운 일을 많이 하시며, 우리 위한 계획을 많이도 세우셨으니, 주님과 견줄 사람 아무도 없습니다. 내가 널리 알리고 전파하려 해도 이루 헤아릴 수도 없이 많습니다.	Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
6	제사나 예물도, 주께서는 원하지 않으시고 번제나 속죄제도 요구하지 않으십니다. 주께서는 오히려 내 두 귀를 열어 주셨으니,	Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
7	이제야 나는 대답하였습니다. "내가 여기 있습니다. 나에게 주신 주의 교훈이 율법책에 있습니다.	Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8	나의 하나님, 내가 주의 뜻 행하기를 즐거워합니다. 주의 법을 제 마음 속에 간직하고 있습니다" 하고 고백하였습니다.	I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
9	나는 많은 회중 앞에서, 주께서 나를 구원하신 기쁜 소식을 전하였습니다. 주께서 아시듯이, 내가 입을 다물고 있지 않았습니다.	I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest.
10	나를 구원하신 주의 의를 나의 가슴 속에 묻어 두지 않았고, 주의 진실과 구원을 말하였습니다. 주의 한결같은 사랑과 그 미쁘심을 많은 회중 앞에서 감추지 않았습니다.	I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
11	하나님은 나의 주님이시니, 주의 자비하심을 나에게서 거두지 말아 주십시오. 주님은 한결같은 사랑과 미쁘심으로, 언제나 나를 지켜 주십시오.	Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
12	이루 다 헤아릴 수도 없이 많은 재앙이 나를 에워쌌고, 나의 죄가 나를 덮쳤습니다. 눈 앞이 캄캄합니다. 나의 죄가 내 머리털보다도 더 많기에, 내가 낙심하였습니다.	For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.
13	주님, 나를 건져 주십시오. 주님, 빨리 나를 도와주십시오.	Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me: O Lord, make haste to help me.
14	나의 목숨을 앗아가려는 자들이 모두 다 부끄러워하게 하시고, 수치를 당하게 해주십시오. 내가 재난받는 것을 기뻐하는 자들이, 모두 뒤로 물러나서, 수모를 당하게 해주십시오.	Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
15	"하하!" 하면서 나를 조소하는 자들이, 오히려 자기들이 받는 그 수치 때문에, 놀라게 해주십시오.	Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.
16	그러나 주님을 찾는 모든 사람은, 주님 때문에 기뻐하고 즐거워할 것입니다. 주께서 구원하여 주시기를 바라는 사람은, 쉬지 않고 이르기를 "주님은 위대하시다" 할 것입니다.	Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.
17	나는 불쌍하고 가난하지만, 주님, 나를 생각하여 주십시오. 주님은 나를 돕는 분이시요, 나를 건져 주는 분이시니, 나의 하나님, 지체하지 말아 주십시오.	But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.
