1	나팔 신호 주께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.	And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2	"너는 은나팔 두 개를 만들되 은을 두드려서 만들어라. 그것들은 네가 회중을 불러모을 때와 진을 출발시킬 때에 필요한 것들이다.	Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.
3	두 개를 한꺼번에 길게 불면, 모든 회중이 회막 어귀에 모여 너에게로 나올 것이다.	And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
4	그러나 하나만 길게 불면, 지휘관들, 곧 이스라엘의 천부장들만이 너에게로 나올 것이다.	And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.
5	그러나 나팔을 짧게 급히 불면, 동쪽에 진을 친 부대들이 진을 뜬다.	When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.
6	두 번째로 짧게 불면, 남쪽에 진을 친 부대들이 진을 뜬다. 진을 뜰 때에는 나팔을 이렇게 짧게 불어라.	When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.
7	총회를 소집할 때에는 나팔을 길게 불어야 한다. 짧게 불어서는 안 된다.	But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.
8	나팔은 아론의 혈통을 이어받은 제사장들만이 불 수 있다.이것은 너희가 대대로 길이 지킬 율례이다.	And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.
9	너희의 땅에서 너희를 공격해 온 침략자들에 대항하여 전쟁에 나설 때에는, 나팔을 짧게 급히 불어라. 그러면 주 너희의 하나님이 너희를 기억하고, 너희 원수들에게서 너희를 구해 줄 것이다.	And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
10	너희들이 즐기는 경축일과 너희들이 정기적으로 모이는 날과 매달 초하루에는, 너희가 번제와 화목제물을 드리며 나팔을 불어라. 그러면 너희 주 하나님이 너희를 기억할 것이다. 내가 주 너희의 하나님이다."	Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the Lord your God.
11	떠날 준비 제 이년 둘째 달, 그 달 이십일에 증거궤가 보관된 그 성막에서 비로소 구름이 걷혔다.	And it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.
12	이스라엘 자손은, 시내 광야를 떠나서 구름이 바란 광야에 머물 때까지, 여러 곳을 거쳐 행군을 계속하였다.	And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.
13	이것은 주께서 모세를 시켜 지시하신 명령을 따라서 한 첫 번째 행군이었다.	And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
14	맨 앞에는 유다 자손이 진의 부대기를 앞세우고, 부대별로 정렬하여 출발하였다. 유다 부대는 암미나답의 아들 나손이 이끌었고,	In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
15	뒤이어 따라나선 잇사갈 자손 지파 부대는 수알의 아들 느다넬이 이끌었고,	And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethaneel the son of Zuar.
16	그 다음에 나선 스불론 자손 지파 부대는 헬론의 아들 엘리압이 이끌었다.	And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.
17	뒤따라 성막 운반을 맡은 게르손 자손과 므라리 자손이 성막을 걷어 가지고 출발하였다.	And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.
18	다음으로는 르우벤 자손이 진의 부대기를 앞세우고, 부대별로 정렬하여 출발하였다. 르우벤 부대는 스데울의 아들 엘리술이 이끌었고,	And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.
19	뒤이어 따라나선 시므온 자손 지파 부대는 수리삿대의 아들 슬루미엘이 이끌었고,	And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
20	그 다음에 나선 갓 자손 지파 부대는 르우엘의 아들 엘리아삽이 이끌었다.	And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
21	뒤따라 고핫 자손들이 성막 기구들을 메고 출발하였다. 게르손 자손과 므라리 자손은 고핫 자손들이 도착하기 전에 성막을 세워야만 했다.	And the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the other did set up the tabernacle against they came.
22	그 다음으로는, 에브라임 자손이 진의 부대기를 앞세우고, 부대별로 정렬하여 출발하였다. 에브라임 부대는 암미훗의 아들 엘리사마가 이끌었고,	And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.
23	뒤이어 따라나선 므낫세 자손 지파 부대는 브다술의 아들 가말리엘이 이끌었고,	And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
24	그 다음에 나선 베냐민 자손 지파 부대는 기드오니의 아들 아비단이 이끌었다.	And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.
25	맨 마지막으로는, 단 자손이 진의 부대기를 앞세우고, 앞선 모든 부대의 후방 경계를 맡은 부대들이 부대별로 정렬하여 출발하였다. 단 부대는 암미삿대의 아들 아히에셀이 이끌었고,	And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, which was the rereward of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
26	뒤이어 따라나선 아셀 자손 지파 부대는 오그란의 아들 바기엘이 이끌었고,	And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran.
27	그 다음에 나선 납달리 자손 지파 부대는 에난의 아들 아히라가 이끌었다.	And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.
28	이것은, 이스라엘 자손이 부대별로 정렬하여 행군할 때의 행군 순서이다.	Thus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.
29	모세가 미디안 사람 르우엘의 아들 호밥에게 청하였다. 그는 모세의 장인이었다. "우리는 이제 주께서 우리에게 주시겠다고 약속하신 곳으로 떠납니다. 장인께서도 우리와 같이 길을 떠나 주시기 바랍니다. 주께서 이스라엘에게 잘 해주시겠다고 약속하셨으니, 우리가 장인 어른을 잘 대접해 드리겠습니다."	And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses’ father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the Lord said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the Lord hath spoken good concerning Israel.
30	호밥이 모세에게 말하였다. "나는 가지 못하네. 나는 내 고향 내 친척에게로 가야 하네."	And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.
31	모세가 다시 간청하였다. "제발 우리만 버려 두지 마십시오. 우리가 광야 어디에 진을 쳐야 할지, 장인 어른만큼 아는 사람이 없습니다. 그러니 장인께서는 우리의 길잡이가 되어 주셔야 합니다.	And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes.
32	우리와 함께 가시기만 한다면, 주께서 우리에게 주시는 좋은 것은, 무엇이든지 장인 어른께 나누어 드리겠습니다."	And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the Lord shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.
33	행군 시작 그들은 주의 산을 떠나 사흘 길을 갔다. 주의 언약궤를 앞세우고 사흘 길을 가면서, 쉴 곳을 찾았다.	And they departed from the mount of the Lord three days’ journey: and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them in the three days’ journey, to search out a resting place for them.
34	낮이 되어 그들이 진을 떠날 때면, 주의 구름이 그들 위를 덮어 주었다.	And the cloud of the Lord was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.
35	궤가 떠날 때에 모세가 외쳤다. "주님, 일어나십시오. 주의 원수들을 흩으십시오. 주를 미워하는 자들을 주 앞에서 쫓으십시오."	And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.
36	궤가 쉴 때에도 모세가 외쳤다. "주님, 수천만 이스라엘 사람에게로 돌아오십시오."	And when it rested, he said, Return, O Lord, unto the many thousands of Israel.
