1	성령은 생명을 주시다 그러므로 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 사람들은 정죄를 받지 않습니다.	There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2	그것은, 그리스도 예수 안에서 생명을 누리게 하는 성령의 법이 여러분 각자를 죄와 죽음의 법에서 해방하여 주었기 때문입니다.	For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3	육신이 연약하므로, 율법이 할 수 없던 것을 하나님께서 하셨습니다. 곧 하나님께서는 죄를 속하여 주시려고, 자기의 아들을 죄된 육신을 지닌 모습으로 보내셔서, 육신에다 죄를 정하셨습니다.	For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4	그것은, 육신을 따라 살지 않고 성령을 따라 사는 우리에게서, 율법이 요구하는 바가 완성되게 하시려는 것입니다.	That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5	육신을 따라 사는 사람은 육신에 속한 것을 생각하나, 성령을 따라 사는 사람은 성령에 속한 것을 생각합니다.	For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6	육신에 속한 생각은 죽음입니다. 그러나 성령에 속한 생각은 생명과 평화입니다.	For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7	육신에 속한 생각은 하나님께 품는 적대감입니다. 그것은 하나님의 법을 따르지 않으며, 또 복종할 수도 없습니다.	Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8	육신에 매인 사람은 하나님을 기쁘시게 할 수 없습니다.	So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9	그러나 하나님의 영이 여러분 안에 살아 계시면, 여러분은 육신 안에 있지 않고, 성령 안에 있습니다. 누구든지 그리스도의 영이 없으면, 그리스도의 사람이 아닙니다.	But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10	또한 그리스도께서 여러분 안에 살아 계시면, 여러분의 몸은 죄 때문에 죽은 것이지만, 영은 의 때문에 생명을 얻습니다.	And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11	예수를 죽은 사람들 가운데서 살리신 분의 영이 여러분 안에 살고 계시면, 그리스도를 죽은 사람들 가운데서 살리신 분께서, 여러분 안에 계신 자기의 영으로 여러분의 죽을 몸도 살리실 것입니다.	But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12	그러므로 형제자매 여러분, 우리는 육신을 따라 살도록, 육신에 빚을 진 사람이 아닙니다.	Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13	여러분이 육신을 따라 살면, 죽을 것입니다. 그러나 여러분이 성령으로 몸의 행실을 죽이면, 살 것입니다.	For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14	하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 사람은, 누구나 다 하나님의 자녀입니다.	For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15	여러분은 또다시 두려움에 빠뜨리는 노예의 영을 받은 것이 아니라, 자녀로 삼으시는 영을 받았습니다. 그래서 우리는 그 영으로 하나님을 "아바, 아버지"라고 부릅니다.	For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16	바로 그 때에 그 성령이 우리의 영과 함께, 우리가 하나님의 자녀임을 증언하십니다.	The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17	자녀이면, 상속자이기도 합니다. 우리가 그리스도와 함께 영광을 받으려고 그와 함께 고난을 받으면, 우리는 하나님의 상속자요, 그리스도와 더불어 공동 상속자입니다.	And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18	모든 피조물이 구원을 갈망하다 나는, 현재 우리가 겪는 고난은, 장차 우리에게 나타날 영광에 견주면, 아무것도 아니라고 생각합니다.	For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19	피조물은 하나님의 자녀들이 나타나기를 간절히 기다리고 있습니다.	For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20	피조물이 허무에 굴복했지만, 그것은 자의로 그렇게 된 것이 아니라, 굴복하게 하신 그분이 그렇게 하신 것입니다. 그러나 소망은 남아 있습니다.	For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21	그것은 곧 피조물도 사멸의 종살이에서 해방되어서, 하나님의 자녀가 누릴 영광된 자유를 얻는다는 것입니다.	Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22	우리는 모든 피조물이 이제까지 함께 신음하며, 해산의 고통을 함께 겪고 있다는 것을 압니다.	For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23	그뿐만이 아니라, 첫 열매로서 성령을 받은 우리도 자녀로 삼아 주실 것을, 곧 우리 몸을 속량하여 주실 것을 고대하면서, 속으로 신음하고 있습니다.	And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24	우리는 이 소망으로 구원을 받았습니다. 눈에 보이는 소망은 소망이 아닙니다. 보이는 것을 누가 바라겠습니까?	For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25	그러나 우리가 보이지 않는 것을 바라면, 참으면서 기다려야 합니다.	But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26	이와 같이, 성령도 우리의 약함을 도와주십니다. 우리는 어떻게 기도해야 할 것도 알지 못하지만, 성령께서 친히 이루 다 말할 수 없는 탄식으로, 우리를 대신하여 간구하여 주십니다.	Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27	사람의 마음을 꿰뚫어 보시는 하나님께서는, 성령의 생각이 어떠한지를 아십니다. 성령께서, 하나님의 뜻을 따라, 성도를 대신하여 간구하시기 때문입니다.	And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28	우리는 하나님을 사랑하는 사람들, 곧 하나님의 뜻대로 부르심을 받은 사람들에게는, 모든 일이 서로 협력해서 선을 이룬다는 것을 압니다.	And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29	하나님께서는 미리 아신 사람들을 택하셔서, 당신의 아들의 형상과 같은 모습이 되도록 미리 정하셨으니, 이것은 그 아들이 대가족 안에서 맏아들이 되게 하시려는 것입니다.	For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30	그리하여 하나님께서는 이미 정하신 사람들을 부르시고, 또한 부르신 사람들을 의롭게 하시고, 의롭게 하신 사람들을 또한 영화롭게 하셨습니다.	Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31	하나님의 사랑은 어떠한 역경보다도 강하다 그렇다면, 이런 일을 두고 우리가 무엇이라고 말할 수 있겠습니까? 하나님이 우리 편이시면, 누가 우리를 대적하겠습니까?	What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32	당신의 아들을 아끼지 않으시고, 우리 모두를 위하여 내주신 분이, 어찌 그 아들과 함께 모든 것을 우리에게 선물로 거저 주지 않으시겠습니까?	He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33	하나님께서 택하신 사람들을, 누가 감히 고소하겠습니까? 의롭게 하여 주시는 분이 하나님이신데,	Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
34	누가 감히 그들을 정죄하겠습니까? 그리스도 예수는 죽으셨을 뿐 아니라, 오히려 다시 살아나셔서 하나님의 오른편에 계시며, 우리를 위하여 대신 간구하여 주십니다.	Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35	누가 우리를 그리스도의 사랑에서 끊을 수 있겠습니까? 환난입니까, 곤고입니까, 핍박입니까, 굶주림입니까, 헐벗음입니까, 위협입니까, 또는 칼입니까?	Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36	성경에 기록된 바 "우리는 종일 주님을 위하여 죽임을 당합니다. 우리는 도살당할 양과 같이 여김을 받았습니다" 한 것과 같습니다.	As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37	그러나 우리는 이 모든 일에서 우리를 사랑하여 주신 그분을 힘입어서, 이기고도 남습니다.	Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38	나는 확신합니다. 죽음도, 삶도, 천사들도, 권세자들도, 현재 일도, 장래 일도, 능력도,	For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39	높음도, 깊음도, 그 밖에 어떤 피조물도, 우리를 우리 주 예수 그리스도 안에 있는 하나님의 사랑에서 끊을 수 없습니다.	Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
