1	질그릇에 담긴 보물 이와 같이 우리가 하나님의 자비하심을 힘입어서 이 직분을 맡았으므로, 우리는 낙심하지 않습니다.	Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2	부끄러워서 드러내지 못할 일들을 우리는 배격하였습니다. 우리는 간교하게 행하지 않고, 하나님의 말씀을 왜곡하지도 않습니다. 우리는 진리를 밝히 드러냄으로써, 하나님 앞에서 모든 사람의 양심에다가 우리 스스로를 떳떳하게 내세웁니다.	But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3	우리의 복음이 가려 있다고 하면, 그것은 멸망하는 자들에게 가려 있는 것입니다.	But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4	그들의 경우를 두고 말하면, 이 세상의 신이 그 믿지 않는 자들의 마음을 어둡게 하여서, 하나님의 형상이신 그리스도의 영광을 선포하는 복음의 빛을 보지 못하게 한 것입니다.	In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5	우리는 우리 스스로를 선전하는 것이 아니라, 예수 그리스도를 주님으로 선포합니다. 우리는 예수를 따르므로, 우리를 여러분의 종으로 내세웁니다.	For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6	"어둠 속에서 빛이 비쳐라" 하고 말씀하신 하나님께서, 우리의 마음 속을 비추셔서, 예수 그리스도의 얼굴에 나타난 하나님의 영광을 아는 지식의 빛을 우리에게 주셨습니다.	For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7	우리는 이 보물을 질그릇 속에 담고 있습니다. 그것은, 이 엄청난 능력이 하나님에게서 나오는 것이지, 우리에게서 나오는 것이 아님을 드러내시려고 하는 것입니다.	But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
8	우리는 여러가지로 환난을 당해도 곤경에 빠지지 않으며, 난처한 일을 당해도 절망에 빠지지 않으며,	We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9	박해를 당해도 버림을 받지 않으며, 거꾸러뜨림을 당해도 망하지 않습니다.	Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
10	우리는 언제나 예수의 죽임 당하심을 우리 몸에 짊어지고 다닙니다. 그것은 예수의 생명을, 우리 몸에 나타나게 하려고 하는 것입니다.	Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
11	우리는 살아 있으나, 예수를 위하여 늘 몸을 죽음에 내맡깁니다. 그것은 예수의 생명이 우리의 죽을 몸에 나타나게 하려고 하는 것입니다.	For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
12	그래서 우리에게서는 죽음이 힘을 떨치고, 여러분에게서는 생명이 힘을 떨칩니다.	So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
13	성경에 기록한 대로 "나는 믿었으므로 말했다" 하였으니, 우리도 그러한 믿음을 일으킨 같은 영을 지니고 있으므로, 우리도 믿고 있고, 또한 우리도 말합니다.	We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
14	우리는, 주 예수를 살리신 분이 예수와 함께 우리도 살리시고, 여러분과 함께 자기 앞에 세워 주시리라는 것을 알고 있습니다.	Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
15	이 모든 일은 다 여러분을 유익하게 하려고 일어났습니다. 그리하여 하나님의 은혜가 점점 더 많은 사람에게 퍼져서, 감사하는 마음이 넘치게 하고, 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 하려는 것입니다.	For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
16	속사람의 생활 그러므로 우리는 낙심하지 않습니다. 우리의 겉사람은 낡아 가나, 우리의 속사람은 나날이 새로워 갑니다.	For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17	우리가 지금 겪는 일시적인 가벼운 고난은, 비교할 수 없을 정도로 영원하고 크나큰 영광을 우리에게 이룩해 줍니다.	For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18	우리는 보이는 것을 바라보는 것이 아니라, 보이지 않는 것을 바라봅니다. 보이는 것은 잠깐이지만, 보이지 않는 것은 영원하기 때문입니다.	While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
