절	표준새번역 (1993)	King James Version
1	그리스도께서 우리를 해방시켜 주셔서, 자유하게 하셨습니다. 그러므로 굳게 서서, 다시는 종의 멍에를 메지 마십시오.	Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2	그리스도인의 자유 나 바울이 여러분에게 말합니다. 여러분이 할례를 받는다면, 그리스도는 여러분에게 아무런 유익이 없습니다.	Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3	내가 할례를 받는 모든 사람에게 다시 증언합니다. 그런 사람은 율법 전체를 이행해야 할 의무를 지닙니다.	For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4	율법으로 의롭게 되려고 하는 여러분은 그리스도에게서 끊어지고, 은혜에서 떨어져 나갔습니다.	Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5	그러나 우리는 성령을 힘입어, 믿음으로 의롭게 하여 주심을 받을 소망을 간절히 기다리고 있습니다.	For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6	그리스도 예수 안에서는, 할례를 받거나 안 받는 것이 문제가 되는 것이 아닙니다. 가장 중요한 것은, 사랑으로 역사하는 믿음입니다.	For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
7	여러분은 지금까지 잘 달려왔습니다. 그런데 누가 여러분을 가로 막아서, 진리를 따르지 못하게 하였습니까?	Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
8	그런 꾐은 여러분을 부르신 분에게서 나온 것이 아닙니다.	This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
9	적은 누룩이 반죽 전체를 부풀게 합니다.	A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
10	나는 여러분이 다른 생각을 조금도 품지 않으리라는 것을 주님 안에서 확신합니다. 그러나 여러분을 교란시키는 사람은, 누구든지 심판을 받을 것입니다.	I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
11	형제자매 여러분, 내가 아직도 할례를 전한다면, 어찌하여 아직도 박해를 받겠습니까? 그렇다면, 십자가의 거리낌은 없어졌을 것입니다.	And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
12	할례를 가지고 여러분을 선동하는 사람들은, 차라리 자기의 그 지체를 잘라 버리는 것이 좋겠습니다.	I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
13	형제자매 여러분, 하나님께서는 여러분을 부르셔서, 자유하게 하셨습니다. 그러나 여러분은 그 자유를 육체의 욕망을 만족시키는 구실로 삼지 말고, 사랑으로 서로 섬기십시오.	For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14	모든 율법은 "네 이웃을 네 몸과 같이 사랑하여라" 하신 한 마디 말씀 속에 다 들어 있습니다.	For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15	그런데 여러분이 서로 물고 먹으면, 양쪽 다 멸망하고 말 것이니, 조심하십시오.	But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16	육체의 행실과 성령의 열매 내가 또 말합니다. 여러분은 성령께서 인도하여 주시는 대로 살아가십시오. 그러면 육체의 욕망을 따라 살아가지 않게 될 것입니다.	This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17	육체의 욕망은 성령을 거스르고, 성령이 바라시는 것은 육체를 거스릅니다. 이 둘이 서로 적대 관계에 있으므로, 여러분은 자기가 원하는 일을 할 수 없게 됩니다.	For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18	그런데 여러분이, 성령께서 인도해 주시는 것을 따르면, 율법 아래 있는 것이 아닙니다.	But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19	육체의 행실은 분명합니다. 곧 음행과 더러움과 방탕과	Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20	우상 숭배와 마술과 원수맺음과 다툼과 시기와 분노와 이기심과 분열과 분파와	Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21	질투와 술취함과 흥청거리는 연회와, 또 이와 비슷한 것들입니다. 내가 전에도 여러분에게 경고하였지만, 이제 또다시 경고합니다. 이런 일을 하는 사람들은 하나님의 나라를 유업으로 받지 못할 것입니다.	Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22	그러나 성령의 열매는 사랑과 기쁨과 평화와 인내와 친절과 선함과 신실과	But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23	온유와 절제입니다. 이런 것들을 금할 법은 없습니다.	Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24	그리스도 예수께 속한 사람은 정욕과 욕망과 함께 자기의 육체를 십자가에 못박았습니다.	And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25	우리가 성령으로 삶을 얻었으니, 우리는 성령이 인도해 주심을 따라 살아갑시다.	If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26	우리는 허영에 들뜨거나, 서로 노엽게 하거나, 질투하거나 하지 않도록 합시다.	Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
