| 2 | Entre mi oración en tu presencia: inclina tu oído á mi clamor. | Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry; |
| 3 | Porque mi alma está harta de males, y mi vida cercana al sepulcro. | For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. |
| 4 | Soy contado con los que descienden al hoyo, soy como hombre sin fuerza: | I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength: |
| 5 | Libre entre los muertos, como los matados que yacen en el sepulcro, que no te acuerdas más de ellos, y que son cortados de tu mano. | Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand. |
| 6 | Hasme puesto en el hoyo profundo, en tinieblas, en honduras. | Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps. |

| 8 | Has alejado de mí mis conocidos: hasme puesto por abominación á ellos: encerrado estoy, y no puedo salir. | Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth. |
| 9 | Mis ojos enfermaron á causa de mi aflicción: hete llamado, oh Jehová, cada día; he extendido á ti mis manos. | Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: Lord, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee. |
| 10 | ¿Harás tú milagro á los muertos? ¿levantaránse los muertos para alabarte? (Selah.) | Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah. |
| 11 | ¿Será contada en el sepulcro tu misericordia, ó tu verdad en la perdición? | Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction? |

| 18 | Has alejado de mí el amigo y el compañero; y mis conocidos se esconden en la tiniebla. | Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness. |
