| 1 | JUNTO á los ríos de Babilonia, allí nos sentábamos, y aun llorábamos, acordándonos de Sión. | By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. |
| 2 | Sobre los sauces en medio de ella colgamos nuestras arpas. | We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. |
| 3 | Y los que allí nos habían llevado cautivos nos pedían que cantásemos, y los que nos habían desolado nos pedían alegría, diciendo: | For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. |
| 4 | Cantadnos algunos de los himnos de Sión. ¿Cómo cantaremos canción de Jehová en tierra de extraños? | How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land? |
| 5 | Si me olvidare de ti, oh Jerusalem, mi diestra sea olvidada. | If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. |
