절	새번역 (2001)	King James Version
1	지혜가 주는 유익 아이들아, 내 말을 받아들이고, 내 명령을 마음 속 깊이 간직하여라.	My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2	지혜에 네 귀를 기울이고, 명철에 네 마음을 두어라.	So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3	슬기를 외쳐 부르고, 명철을 얻으려고 소리를 높여라.	Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4	은을 구하듯 그것을 구하고, 보화를 찾듯 그것을 찾아라.	If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5	그렇게 하면, 너는 주님을 경외하는 길을 깨달을 것이며, 하나님을 아는 지식을 터득할 것이다.	Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
6	주님께서 지혜를 주시고, 주님께서 친히 지식과 명철을 주시기 때문이다.	For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7	정직한 사람에게는 분별하는 지혜를 마련하여 주시고, 흠 없이 사는 사람에게는 방패가 되어 주신다.	He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8	공평하게 사는 사람의 길을 보살펴 주시고, 주님께 충성하는 사람의 길을 지켜 주신다.	He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9	그 때에야 너는 정의와 공평과 정직, 이 모든 복된 길을 깨달을 것이다.	Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
10	지혜가 네 마음 속에 들어가고, 지식이 네 영혼을 즐겁게 할 것이다.	When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11	분별력이 너를 지켜 주고, 명철이 너를 보살펴 줄 것이다.	Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12	지혜가 악한 사람의 길에서 너를 구하고, 겉과 속이 다르게 말하는 사람에게서 너를 건질 것이다.	To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
13	그들은 바른길을 버리고, 어두운 길로 가는 사람들이다.	Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14	그들은 나쁜 일 하기를 좋아하며, 악하고 거스르는 일 하기를 즐거워한다.	Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15	그들의 길은 구부러져 있고, 그들의 행실은 비뚤어져 있다.	Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
16	지혜와 순결 지혜가 너를 음란한 여자에게서 건져 주고, 너를 꾀는 부정한 여자에게서 건져 줄 것이다.	To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17	그 여자는 젊은 시절의 짝을 버리고, 하나님과 맺은 언약을 잊은 여자이다.	Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18	그 여자의 집은 죽음에 이르는 길목이요, 그 길은 죽음으로 내려가는 길이다.	For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19	그런 여자에게 가는 자는 아무도 되돌아오지 못하고, 다시는 생명의 길에 이르지 못한다.	None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20	그러므로 너는 선한 사람이 가는 길을 가고, 의로운 사람이 걷는 길로만 걸어라.	That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21	세상은 정직한 사람이 살 곳이요, 흠 없는 사람이 살아 남을 곳이기 때문이다.	For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22	그러나 악한 사람은 땅에서 끊어지고, 진실하지 못한 사람은 땅에서 뿌리가 뽑힐 것이다.	But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
