절	새번역 (2001)	King James Version
1	주님께서 바룩에게 구원을 약속하시다 요시야의 아들 여호야김이 유다 왕이 되어 다스린 지 사 년째가 되던 해에, 예언자 예레미야는 네리야의 아들 바룩에게, 주님께서 하신 말씀을 불러 주어, 책에 받아쓰게 하였다. 그 때에 예언자 예레미야가 바룩에게 말하였다.	The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,
2	“주 이스라엘의 하나님께서 그대 바룩에게 전하라고 하시면서, 나에게 이런 말씀을 하셨소.	Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch;
3	주님께서는 그대가 언젠가 ‘주님께서 나의 고통에 슬픔을 더하셨으니, 나는 이제 꼼짝없이 죽게 되었구나. 나는 탄식으로 기진하였고, 마음 평안할 일이 없다’ 라고 말한 것을 기억하고 계시오.	Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the Lord hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.
4	주님께서는 나더러, 그대 바룩에게 전하라고 하시면서, 이렇게 말씀하셨소. ‘나 주가 말한다. 나는, 내가 세운 것을 헐기도 하고, 내가 심은 것을 뽑기도 한다. 온 세상을 내가 이렇게 다스리거늘,	Thus shalt thou say unto him, The Lord saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.
5	네가 이제 큰일을 찾고 있느냐? 그만 두어라. 이제 내가 모든 사람에게 재앙을 내릴 터인데 너만은 내가 보호하여, 네가 어디로 가든지, 너의 목숨만은 건져 주겠다. 나 주의 말이다.’”	And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the Lord: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.
