절	새번역 (2001)	King James Version
1	유다 왕 아하스 아하스가 왕이 되었을 때에, 그는 스무 살이었다. 그는 예루살렘에서 열여섯 해 동안 다스렸다. 그러나 그는 주님께서 보시기에 올바른 일을 하지 않았다. 그는 그의 조상 다윗이 한 대로 하지 않았다.	Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the Lord, like David his father:
2	오히려 그는 이스라엘의 왕들이 걸어간 길을 걸어갔고, 심지어 바알 신상들을 부어 만들기까지 하였다.	For he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten images for Baalim.
3	‘힌놈의 아들 골짜기’에서 분향을 하고, 자기 아들을 불에 태워 제물로 바쳤다. 이것은 주님께서 이스라엘 자손이 보는 앞에서 쫓아내신 이방 민족들의 역겨운 풍속을 본받는 행위였다.	Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
4	그는 직접 산당과 언덕과 모든 푸른 나무 아래에서 제물을 잡아, 이방 신에게 제사를 지내고 분향하였다. ()	He sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.
5	시리아와 이스라엘의 전쟁 그리하여 주 그의 하나님께서 그를 시리아 왕의 손에 넘기시니, 시리아 왕이 그를 치고, 그의 군대를 많이 사로잡아 다마스쿠스로 이끌고 갔다. 또 주님께서 그를 이스라엘 왕의 손에 넘기시니, 이스라엘 왕이 그를 크게 쳐서, 수많은 사람들을 죽였다.	Wherefore the Lord his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.
6	이스라엘의 르말리야의 아들 베가 왕이 유다에서 하루 동안에 용사들을 십이만 명이나 죽였다. 유다 사람들이 조상의 주 하나님을 버렸기 때문이다.	For Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah an hundred and twenty thousand in one day, which were all valiant men; because they had forsaken the Lord God of their fathers.
7	에브라임의 용사 시그리가 마아세야 왕자와 아스리감 궁내대신과 엘가나 총리대신을 죽였다.	And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew Maaseiah the king’s son, and Azrikam the governor of the house, and Elkanah that was next to the king.
8	이스라엘 군대는 그들의 동족인 유다 사람들을, 아내들과 아이들까지 합쳐 무려 이십만 명이나 사로잡고, 물건도 많이 약탈하여 사마리아로 가져 갔다.	And the children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and took also away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.
9	예언자 오뎃 사마리아에 오뎃이라고 하는 주님의 예언자가 있었는데, 그가, 사마리아로 개선하는 군대를 마중하러 나가서, 그들을 보고 말하였다. “주 당신들의 조상의 하나님께서 유다 백성에게 진노하셔서, 그들을 당신들의 손에 붙이신 것은 사실이오. 하지만 당신들이 살기가 등등하여 그들을 살육하고,	But a prophet of the Lord was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the Lord God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven.
10	그것으로 성이 차지 않아서, 유다와 예루살렘의 남녀들까지 노예로 삼을 작정을 하고 있소. 당신들도 주 하나님을 거역하는 죄를 지었다는 것을 알아야 하오.	And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the Lord your God?
11	당신들은 이제 내가 하는 말을 들으시오. 당신들이 잡아 온 이 포로들은 바로 당신들의 형제자매이니, 곧 풀어 주어 돌아가게 하시오. 그렇게 하지 않으면, 주님께서 진노하셔서 당장 당신들을 벌하실 것이오.”	Now hear me therefore, and deliver the captives again, which ye have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath of the Lord is upon you.
12	에브라임 자손의 지도자 네 사람, 곧 요하난의 아들 아사랴와 므실레못의 아들 베레갸와 살룸의 아들 여히스기야와 하들래의 아들 아마사가 역시 싸우고 개선하는 군대를 막아서서	Then certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war,
13	그들에게 말하였다. “이 포로들을 이리로 끌어들이지 마시오. 이런 일을 저질렀기 때문에, 우리가 모두 주님 앞에서 죄인이 되었소. 당신들은 우리의 죄와 허물을 더욱 많게 하였소. 우리의 허물이 이렇게 많아져서, 우리 이스라엘이 주님의 진노를 피할 수 없게 되었소.”	And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the Lord already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.
14	무장한 군인들이 이 말을 듣고, 포로와 전리품을 백성과 지도자들에게 넘겼다.	So the armed men left the captives and the spoil before the princes and all the congregation.
15	사람들이 위의 네 지도자들에게, 포로를 돌보아 주도록 임무를 맡기니, 그 네 사람이 전리품을 풀어서, 헐벗은 이들을 입히고, 맨발로 걸어온 이들에게 신을 신기고, 먹을 것과 마실 것을 가져다 주고, 상처를 입은 이들에게는 기름을 발라 치료하여 주고, 환자들은 나귀에 태워 모두 종려나무 성 여리고로 데리고 가서, 그들의 친척에게 넘겨 주고, 사마리아로 되돌아왔다. ()	And the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to Samaria.
16	아하스가 앗시리아에 구원을 요청함 한번은 유다 왕 아하스가 앗시리아의 왕에게 사신을 보내어 도움을 청한 일이 있다.	At that time did king Ahaz send unto the kings of Assyria to help him.
17	에돔 사람이 다시 와서, 유다를 치고, 백성을 사로잡아 갔으며,	For again the Edomites had come and smitten Judah, and carried away captives.
18	블레셋 사람도 유다의 평지와 남방 성읍들을 침략하여, 벳세메스와 아얄론과 그데롯을 점령하고, 소고를 포함한 그 주변 성읍들과 딤나와 김소와 그 인근 마을들을 점령하고, 거기에 정착하였기 때문이다.	The Philistines also had invaded the cities of the low country, and of the south of Judah, and had taken Beth–shemesh, and Ajalon, and Gederoth, and Shocho with the villages thereof, and Timnah with the villages thereof, Gimzo also and the villages thereof: and they dwelt there.
19	이스라엘의 아하스 왕이 백성을 부추기어 주님께 크게 범죄하였으므로, 주님께서 유다를 낮추셨던 것이다.	For the Lord brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore against the Lord.
20	앗시리아의 디글랏빌레셀 왕이 오기는 왔으나, 아하스를 돕기는 커녕 도리어 그를 쳐서 곤경에 빠뜨렸다.	And Tilgath–pilneser king of Assyria came unto him, and distressed him, but strengthened him not.
21	아하스가 주님의 성전과 자기의 왕궁과 대신들의 집에서 보물을 꺼내어 앗시리아의 왕에게 바쳤으나, 별 효과가 없었다.	For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of the Lord, and out of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave it unto the king of Assyria: but he helped him not.
22	아하스의 죄 사태가 이렇게 악화되었는데도, 아하스 왕은 주님께 더욱 범죄하여,	And in the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the Lord: this is that king Ahaz.
23	자기를 친 다마스쿠스 사람들이 섬기는 신들에게 제사를 지내면서 “시리아 왕들이 섬긴 신들이 그 왕들을 도왔으니, 나도 그 신들에게 제사를 드리면, 그 신들이 나를 돕겠지” 하고 생각하였다. 그러나 이러한 일이 오히려 아하스와 온 이스라엘을 망하게 하였다.	For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him: and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.
24	그뿐만 아니라, 아하스는 하나님의 성전 안에 있는 기구를 거두어다가 부수고, 또 주님의 성전으로 드나드는 문들을 닫아 걸고, 예루살렘 이곳 저곳에 제단을 쌓고,	And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the Lord, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem.
25	유다의 각 성읍에 산당을 세우고, 다른 신들에게 분향하여, 조상 때부터 섬겨 온 주 하나님을 진노케 하였다.	And in every several city of Judah he made high places to burn incense unto other gods, and provoked to anger the Lord God of his fathers.
26	이것 말고도, 아하스가 한 모든 일과 행위는, 처음부터 끝까지, ‘유다와 이스라엘 열왕기’에 기록되어 있다.	Now the rest of his acts and of all his ways, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
27	아하스가 그의 조상과 함께 잠드니, 그를 왕실 묘지에 장사하지 않고, 예루살렘 성 안에 장사했다. 그의 아들 히스기야가 그의 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었다.	And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, even in Jerusalem: but they brought him not into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.
