1	다윗의 랍바 점령 그 다음해 봄에, 왕들이 출전하는 때가 되자, 요압이 병력을 이끌고 나가서 암몬 사람의 땅을 무찌르고, 더 가서 랍바를 포위하였다. 그러나 다윗은 예루살렘에 머물러 있었다. 요압이 랍바를 쳐서 함락시켰다.	And it came to pass, that after the year was expired, at the time that kings go out to battle, Joab led forth the power of the army, and wasted the country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab smote Rabbah, and destroyed it.
2	다윗이 암몬 왕의 머리에서 금관을 벗겨 왔는데, 달아 보니 그 무게가 금 한 달란트나 나갔고, 금관에는 보석이 박혀 있었다. 다윗은 그 금관을 가져다가, 자기가 썼다. 다윗은 그 도성에서 아주 많은 전리품을 약탈하였으며,	And David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a talent of gold, and there were precious stones in it; and it was set upon David’s head: and he brought also exceeding much spoil out of the city.
3	그 도성에 사는 백성도 끌어다가, 톱질과 곡괭이질과 도끼질을 시켰다. 다윗은 암몬 사람의 모든 성읍에 이와 똑같이 한 뒤에, 모든 군인을 거느리고 예루살렘으로 돌아왔다. ()	And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
4	블레셋 거인과 싸우다 그 뒤에 게셀에서 블레셋 사람과 전쟁이 벌어졌다. 그 때에 후사 사람 십브개가 거인족의 자손 십배를 쳐죽이자, 블레셋 사람이 항복하였다.	And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.
5	또 블레셋 사람과 전쟁이 벌어졌다. 야일의 아들 엘하난이 가드 사람 골리앗의 아우 라흐미를 죽였는데, 라흐미의 창 자루는 베틀 앞다리같이 굵었다.	And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver’s beam.
6	또 가드에서 전쟁이 벌어졌을 때에, 거인이 하나 나타났는데, 그는 손가락 발가락이 각각 여섯 개씩 모두 스물넷이었다. 이 사람도 거인족의 자손 가운데 하나이다.	And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant.
7	그가 이스라엘을 조롱하므로, 다윗의 형 시므아의 아들 요나단이 그를 쳐죽였다.	But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David’s brother slew him.
8	이들은 모두 가드에서 태어난 거인족의 자손인데, 다윗과 그 부하들에게 모두 죽었다.	These were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
