절	새번역 (2001)	King James Version
1	예루살렘에서 다윗이 활동하다 두로 왕 히람이 다윗에게, 사절단과 함께 백향목과 석수와 목수를 보내어서, 궁궐을 지어 주게 하였다.	Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him an house.
2	다윗은, 주님께서 자기를 이스라엘의 왕으로 굳건히 세워 주신 것과, 그분의 백성 이스라엘을 번영하게 하시려고 그의 나라를 크게 높이신 것을 깨달아 알았다.	And David perceived that the Lord had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.
3	다윗은 예루살렘에서 또 아내들을 맞아, 또 자녀를 낳았다.	And David took more wives at Jerusalem: and David begat more sons and daughters.
4	그가 예루살렘에서 낳은 아이들의 이름은 삼무아와 소밥과 나단과 솔로몬과	Now these are the names of his children which he had in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,
5	입할과 엘리수아와 엘벨렛과	And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,
6	노가와 네벡과 야비아와	And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
7	엘리사마와 브엘랴다와 엘리벨렛이다. ()	And Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.
8	다윗이 블레셋을 이기다 다윗이 기름 부음을 받아 온 이스라엘의 왕이 되었다는 소식을 블레셋 사람이 듣고, 온 블레셋 사람이 다윗을 잡으려고 올라왔다. 다윗이 이 말을 듣고 그들을 맞아 공격하려고 나갔다.	And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.
9	블레셋 사람들이 이미 몰려와서, 르바임 평원을 침략하였다.	And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
10	다윗이 하나님께 아뢰었다. “제가 저 블레셋 사람들을 치러 올라가도 되겠습니까? 주님께서 그들을 저의 손에 넘겨 주시겠습니까?” 주님께서 그에게 대답하셨다. “올라가거라. 내가 그들을 너의 손에 넘겨 주겠다.”	And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand.
11	그래서 그가 바알브라심으로 쳐들어갔다. 다윗은 거기에서 블레셋 사람들을 쳐서 이기고 나서, 이렇게 말하였다. “홍수가 모든 것을 휩쓸어 버리듯이, 하나님께서 나의 손으로 나의 원수들을 그렇게 휩쓸어 버리셨다.” 그래서 사람들이 그 곳 이름을 바알브라심이라고 부른다.	So they came up to Baal–perazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baal–perazim.
12	블레셋 사람이 그들의 온갖 신상을 거기에 버리고 도망 갔으므로, 다윗은 그 신상들을 불태워 버리라고 명령하였다.	And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.
13	블레셋 사람이 또다시 그 평원을 침략하였다.	And the Philistines yet again spread themselves abroad in the valley.
14	다윗이 하나님께 또 아뢰니, 하나님께서 그에게 대답하셨다. “너는 그들을 따라 올라가 정면에서 치지 말고, 그들의 뒤로 돌아가서 숨어 있다가, 뽕나무 숲의 맞은쪽에서부터 그들을 기습하여 공격하여라.	Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
15	뽕나무 밭 위쪽에서 행군하는 소리가 나거든, 너는 곧 나가서 싸워라. 그러면 나 하나님이 너보다 먼저 가서, 블레셋 군대를 치겠다.”	And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.
16	다윗은 하나님이 명하신 대로, 기브온에서 게셀에 이르기까지 쫓아가면서, 블레셋 군대를 무찔렀다.	David therefore did as God commanded him: and they smote the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer.
17	다윗의 명성이 온 세상에 널리 퍼졌고, 주님께서는, 모든 나라들이 다윗을 두려워하게 하셨다.	And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the Lord brought the fear of him upon all nations.
