절	새번역 (2001)	King James Version
1	그러므로 여러분은 사랑을 받는 자녀답게, 하나님을 본받는 사람이 되십시오.	Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2	그리스도께서 여러분을 사랑하셔서, 우리를 위하여 하나님 앞에 향기로운 예물과 제물로 자기 몸을 내어주신 것과 같이, 여러분도 사랑으로 살아가십시오.	And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3	음행이나 온갖 더러운 행위나 탐욕은 그 이름조차도 여러분의 입에 담지 마십시오. 그렇게 하는 것이 성도에게 합당합니다.	But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
4	더러운 말과 어리석은 말과 상스러운 농담은 여러분에게 어울리지 않습니다. 오히려 여러분은 감사에 찬 말을 하십시오.	Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5	여러분은 이것을 확실히 알아두십시오. 음행하는 자나 행실이 더러운 자나 탐욕을 부리는 자는 우상 숭배자여서, 그리스도와 하나님의 나라를 상속받을 몫이 없습니다.	For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6	빛의 자녀의 생활 여러분은 아무에게도 헛된 말로 속아넘어가지 마십시오. 이런 일 때문에, 하나님의 진노가 순종하지 않는 사람들에게 내리는 것입니다.	Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7	그러므로 여러분은 그런 사람들과 짝하지 마십시오.	Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8	여러분이 전에는 어둠이었으나, 지금은 주님 안에서 빛입니다. 빛의 자녀답게 사십시오.	For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9	-빛의 열매는 모든 선과 의와 진실에 있습니다.-	(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10	주님께서 기뻐하시는 일이 무엇인지를 분별하십시오.	Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11	여러분은 열매 없는 어둠의 일에 끼여들지 말고, 오히려 그것을 폭로하십시오.	And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12	그들이 몰래 하는 일들은 말하기조차 부끄러운 것들입니다.	For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13	빛이 폭로하면 모든 것이 드러나게 됩니다.	But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14	드러나는 것은 다 빛입니다. 그러므로, “잠자는 사람아, 일어나라. 죽은 사람 가운데서 일어서라. 그리스도께서 너를 환히 비추어 주실 것이다” 하는 말씀이 있습니다.	Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15	그러므로 여러분은 어떻게 살아가야 할지를 살피십시오. 지혜롭지 못한 사람처럼 살지 말고, 지혜로운 사람답게 살아야 합니다.	See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16	세월을 아끼십시오. 때가 악합니다.	Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17	그러므로 어리석은 자가 되지 말고, 주님의 뜻이 무엇인지를 깨달으십시오.	Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18	술에 취하지 마십시오. 거기에는 방탕이 따릅니다. 성령의 충만함을 받으십시오.	And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19	시와 찬미와 신령한 노래로 서로 화답하며, 여러분의 가슴으로 주님께 노래하며, 찬송하십시오.	Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20	모든 일에 언제나 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 하나님 아버지께 감사를 드리십시오.	Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21	남편과 아내 여러분은 그리스도를 두려워하는 마음으로 서로 순종하십시오.	Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22	아내 된 이 여러분, 남편에게 하기를 주님께 하듯 하십시오.	Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23	그리스도께서 교회의 머리가 되심과 같이, 남편은 아내의 머리가 됩니다. 바로 그리스도께서는 몸의 구주이십니다.	For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24	교회가 그리스도께 순종하듯이, 아내도 모든 일에 남편에게 순종해야 합니다.	Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25	남편 된 이 여러분, 아내를 사랑하기를 그리스도께서 교회를 사랑하셔서 교회를 위하여 자신을 내주심 같이 하십시오.	Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26	그리스도께서 그렇게 하신 것은, 교회를 물로 씻고, 말씀으로 깨끗하게 하여서, 거룩하게 하시려는 것이며,	That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27	티나 주름이나 또 그와 같은 것들이 없이, 아름다운 모습으로 교회를 자기 앞에 내세우시려는 것이며, 교회를 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려는 것입니다.	That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28	이와 같이, 남편도 아내를 자기 몸과 같이 사랑해야 합니다. 자기 아내를 사랑하는 것은 곧 자기를 사랑하는 것입니다.	So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29	자기 육신을 미워한 사람은 없습니다. 누구나 자기 육신을 먹여 살리고 돌보기를 그리스도께서 교회를 그렇게 하시듯이 합니다.	For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30	우리는 그리스도의 몸의 지체입니다.	For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31	그러므로 사람이 부모를 떠나 자기 아내와 합하여 그 둘이 한 몸이 되는 것입니다.	For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32	이 비밀은 큽니다. 나는 그리스도와 교회를 두고 이 말을 합니다.	This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33	그러므로 여러분도 각각 자기 아내를 자기 몸 같이 사랑하고, 아내도 자기 남편을 존중하십시오.	Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
