1	인사 그리스도 예수 때문에 감옥에 갇힌 나 바울과 형제 디모데가, 우리의 사랑하는 동역자 빌레몬과	Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,
2	자매 압비아와 우리의 전우인 아킵보와 그대의 집에 모이는 교회에, 이 편지를 씁니다.	And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:
3	하나님 우리 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도께서 내려주시는 은혜와 평화가 여러분에게 있기를 빕니다.	Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4	빌레몬의 믿음과 사랑 나는 기도할 때마다 그대를 기억하면서, 언제나 나의 하나님께 감사를 드립니다.	I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
5	나는 주 예수에 대한 그대의 믿음과 모든 성도에 대한 그대의 사랑에 관하여 듣고 있습니다.	Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
6	그대의 믿음의 사귐이 더욱 깊어져서, 우리 안에 있는 모든 선한 일을 그대가 깨달아 그리스도께 이르게 되기를 나는 기도합니다.	That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
7	형제여, 나는 그대의 사랑으로 큰 기쁨과 위로를 받았습니다. 성도들이 그대로 말미암아 마음에 생기를 얻었습니다.	For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
8	오네시모를 두고 선처를 부탁하다 그러므로 그리스도 안에서 나는 그대가 마땅히 해야 할 일을 아주 담대하게 명령할 수도 있지만,	Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,
9	우리 사이의 사랑 때문에, 오히려 그대에게 간청을 하려고 합니다. 나 바울은 이렇게 나이를 많이 먹은 사람이요, 이제는 그리스도를 전하는 일로 또한 갇힌 몸입니다.	Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
10	내가 갇혀 있는 동안에 얻은 아들 오네시모를 두고 그대에게 간청합니다.	I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:
11	그가 전에는 그대에게 쓸모 없는 사람이었으나, 이제는 그대와 나에게 쓸모 있는 사람이 되었습니다.	Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:
12	나는 그를 그대에게 돌려보냅니다. 그는 바로 내 마음입니다.	Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:
13	나는 그를 내 곁에 두고 내가 복음을 위하여 갇혀 있는 동안에 그대를 대신해서 나에게 시중들게 하고 싶었으나,	Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
14	그대의 승낙이 없이는 아무것도 하고 싶지 않았습니다. 나는 그대가 선한 일을 마지못해서 하지 않고, 자진해서 하기를 원하기 때문입니다.	But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.
15	그가 잠시 동안 그대를 떠난 것은, 아마 그대로 하여금 영원히 그를 데리고 있게 하려는 것이었는지도 모릅니다.	For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;
16	이제부터는 그는 종으로서가 아니라, 종 이상으로 곧 사랑 받는 형제로 그대의 곁에 있을 것입니다. 특히 그가 나에게 그러하다면, 그대에게는 육신으로나 주님 안에서나 더욱 그러하지 않겠습니까?	Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
17	그러므로 그대가 나를 동지로 생각하면, 나를 맞이하듯이 그를 맞아 주십시오.	If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.
18	그가 그대에게 잘못한 것이 있거나, 빚진 것이 있거든, 그것을 내 앞으로 달아놓아 주십시오.	If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;
19	나 바울이 친필로 이것을 씁니다. 내가 그것을 갚아 주겠습니다. 그대가 오늘의 그대가 된 것이 나에게 빚진 것이라는 사실을 나는 굳이 말하지 않겠습니다.	I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.
20	형제여, 나는 주님 안에서 그대의 호의를 바랍니다. 그리스도 안에서 나의 마음에 생기를 넣어 주십시오.	Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
21	나는 그대의 순종을 확신하며 이 글을 씁니다. 나는 그대가 내가 말한 것 이상으로 해주리라는 것을 압니다.	Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.
22	그리고 나를 위하여 숙소를 마련해 주십시오. 여러분의 기도로 내가 여러분에게 갈 수 있기를 바랍니다.	But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
23	작별 인사 그리스도 예수 안에서 나와 함께 갇힌 에바브라가 그대에게 문안합니다.	There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;
24	나의 동역자인 마가와 아리스다고와 데마와 누가도 문안합니다.	Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.
25	주 예수 그리스도의 은혜가 여러분의 영과 함께 하기를 빕니다.	The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. Written from Rome to Philemon, by Onesimus a servant.
