1	느헤미야가 지도자들을 세우다 성벽을 다시 쌓고, 문들을 제자리에 단 다음에, 나는 성전 문지기와 노래하는 사람과 레위 사람을 세우고	Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
2	나의 아우 하나니와 성채 지휘관 하나냐에게 예루살렘 경비를 맡겼다. 하나냐는 진실한 사람이고, 남다르게 하나님을 두려워하는 사람이었다.	That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
3	나는 그들에게 일렀다. “해가 떠서 환해지기 전에는 예루살렘 성문들을 열지 말고, 해가 아직 높이 있을 때에, 성문들을 닫고 빗장을 지르도록 하시오. 예루살렘 성 사람들로 경비를 세우시오. 일부는 지정된 초소에서, 일부는 자기들의 집 가까이에서 경비를 서게 하십시오.” ()	And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.
4	포로에서 돌아온 사람들 성읍은 크고 넓으나, 인구가 얼마 안 되고, 제대로 지은 집도 얼마 없었다.	Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.
5	귀족들과 관리들과 일반 백성을 모아서 가족별로 등록시키도록, 나의 하나님이 나의 마음을 감동시키셨다. 마침, 나는 일차로 돌아온 사람들의 가족별 등록부를 찾았는데, 거기에는 다음과 같이 적혀 있다.	And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,
6	바빌론 왕 느부갓네살에게 사로잡혀 바빌로니아로 끌려간 사람들 가운데서, 많은 사람들이 바빌로니아 각 지방을 떠나 제 고향 땅 예루살렘과 유다로 돌아왔다.	These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;
7	그들은 스룹바벨과 예수아와 느헤미야와 아사랴와 라아먀와 나하마니와 모르드개와 빌산과 미스베렛과 비그왜와 느훔과 바아나가 돌아올 때에 함께 돌아왔다. 이스라엘 백성의 명단과 수는 다음과 같다.	Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;
8	바로스 자손이 이천백칠십이 명이요,	The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred seventy and two.
9	스바댜 자손이 삼백칠십이 명이요,	The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.
10	아라 자손이 육백오십이 명이요,	The children of Arah, six hundred fifty and two.
11	바핫모압 자손 곧 예수아와 요압 자손이 이천팔백십팔 명이요,	The children of Pahath–moab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.
12	엘람 자손이 천이백오십사 명이요,	The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.
13	삿두 자손이 팔백사십오 명이요,	The children of Zattu, eight hundred forty and five.
14	삭개 자손이 칠백육십 명이요,	The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and threescore.
15	빈누이 자손이 육백사십팔 명이요,	The children of Binnui, six hundred forty and eight.
16	브배 자손이 육백이십팔 명이요,	The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and eight.
17	아스갓 자손이 이천삼백이십이 명이요,	The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty and two.
18	아도니감 자손이 육백육십칠 명이요,	The children of Adonikam, six hundred threescore and seven.
19	비그왜 자손이 이천육십칠 명이요,	The children of Bigvai, two thousand threescore and seven.
20	아딘 자손이 육백오십오 명이요,	The children of Adin, six hundred fifty and five.
21	아델 자손 곧 히스기야 자손이 구십팔 명이요,	The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.
22	하숨 자손이 삼백이십팔 명이요,	The children of Hashum, three hundred twenty and eight.
23	베새 자손이 삼백이십사 명이요,	The children of Bezai, three hundred twenty and four.
24	하립 자손이 백십이 명이요,	The children of Hariph, an hundred and twelve.
25	기브온 자손이 구십오 명이다.	The children of Gibeon, ninety and five.
26	베들레헴 사람과 느도바 사람이 백팔십팔 명이요,	The men of Beth–lehem and Netophah, an hundred fourscore and eight.
27	아나돗 사람이 백이십팔 명이요,	The men of Anathoth, an hundred twenty and eight.
28	벳아스마웻 사람이 사십이 명이요,	The men of Beth–azmaveth, forty and two.
29	기럇여아림과 그비라와 브에롯 사람이 칠백사십삼 명이요,	The men of Kirjath–jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty and three.
30	라마와 게바 사람이 육백이십일 명이요,	The men of Ramah and Geba, six hundred twenty and one.
31	믹마스 사람이 백이십이 명이요,	The men of Michmas, an hundred and twenty and two.
32	베델과 아이 사람이 백이십삼 명이요,	The men of Beth–el and Ai, an hundred twenty and three.
33	느보의 다른 마을 사람이 오십이 명이요,	The men of the other Nebo, fifty and two.

40	임멜 자손이 천오십이 명이요,	The children of Immer, a thousand fifty and two.
41	바스훌 자손이 천이백사십칠 명이요,	The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred forty and seven.
42	하림 자손이 천십칠 명이다.	The children of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.
43	레위 사람은, 호드야의 자손들인 예수아와 갓미엘 자손이 칠십사 명이요,	The Levites: the children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, and of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.
44	노래하는 사람은, 아삽 자손이 백사십팔 명이요,	The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundred forty and eight.
45	성전 문지기는, 살룸 자손과 아델 자손과 달문 자손과 악굽 자손과 하디다 자손과 소배 자손인데, 백삼십팔 명이다.	The porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, an hundred thirty and eight.
46	성전 막일꾼은, 시하 자손과 하수바 자손과 답바옷 자손과	The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,
47	게로스 자손과 시아 자손과 바돈 자손과	The children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,
48	르바나 자손과 하가바 자손과 살매 자손과	The children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Shalmai,

57	솔로몬을 섬기던 종들의 자손은, 소대 자손과 소베렛 자손과 브리다 자손과	The children of Solomon’s servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
58	야알라 자손과 다르곤 자손과 깃델 자손과	The children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
59	스바댜 자손과 핫딜 자손과 보게렛하스바임 자손과 아몬 자손이다.	The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon.
60	이상 성전 막일꾼과 솔로몬을 섬기던 종의 자손은 모두 삼백구십이 명이다.	All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon’s servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
61	이 밖에 델멜라와 델하르사와 그룹과 앗돈과 임멜 등 여러 곳에서 사람들이 왔지만, 가문이 밝혀지지 않아서, 그들이 이스라엘의 자손인지 아닌지는 알 길이 없었다.	And these were they which went up also from Tel–melah, Tel–haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father’s house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.
62	그들은, 들라야 자손과 도비야 자손과 느고다 자손인데, 모두 육백사십이 명이다.	The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.
63	제사장 가문 가운데는 호바야 자손과 학고스 자손과 바르실래 자손도 있는데, 이들 가운데서 바르실래는 길르앗 지방 사람인 바르실래 집안으로 장가를 들어서, 장인의 이름을 이어받은 사람이다.	And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.
64	족보를 뒤져보았지만, 그들은 그 조상이 확인되지 않았으므로, 제사장 직분을 맡기에는 적합하지 않다고 생각해서, 그 직분을 맡지 못하게 하였다.	These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.
65	유다 총독은 그들에게, 우림과 둠밈을 가지고 판결을 내릴 제사장이 나타날 때까지는, 가장 거룩한 음식은 먹지 말라고 명령하였다.	And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.
66	돌아온 회중의 수는 모두 사만 이천삼백육십 명이다.	The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,
67	그들이 부리던 남녀 종이 칠천삼백삼십칠 명이요, 그 밖에 노래하는 남녀가 이백사십오 명이다.	Beside their manservants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women.
68	또 말이 칠백삼십육 마리요, 노새가 이백사십오 마리요,	Their horses, seven hundred thirty and six: their mules, two hundred forty and five:
69	낙타가 사백삼십오 마리요, 나귀가 육천칠백이십 마리이다.	Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.
70	가문의 우두머리 가운데는 건축 기금을 내놓는 사람들이 있었다. 총독도 금 천 다릭과 쟁반 오십 개와 제사장 예복 오백삼십 벌을 창고에 들여놓았다.	And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests’ garments.
71	각 가문의 우두머리들이 공사를 위하여 창고에 바친 것은, 금이 이만 다릭이요, 은이 이천이백 마네였다.	And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver.
72	나머지 백성이 바친 것은, 금이 이만 다릭이요, 은이 이천 마네요, 제사장의 예복이 육십칠 벌이다.	And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests’ garments.
73	제사장들과 레위 사람들과 성전 문지기들과 노래하는 사람들과 백성 가운데 일부와 성전 막일꾼들과 나머지 이스라엘 사람들은, 저마다 고향에 자리를 잡았다. 이스라엘 자손이 그렇게 여러 마을에 흩어져서 살고 있었다. 일곱째 달이 되었을 때에,	So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
