절	새번역 (2001)	King James Version
1	여러분에게 또 다시 아픔을 주지 않아야 하겠기에, 나는 여러분에게로 가지 않기로 결심하였습니다.	But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.
2	내가 여러분을 마음 아프게 하더라도, 나를 기쁘게 해줄 사람은, 내가 마음 아프게 하는 그 사람 밖에 누가 있겠습니까?	For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?
3	내가 이런 편지를 쓴 것은, 내가 거기에 갔을 때에, 나를 기쁘게 해야 할 바로 그 사람들에게서 내가 마음 아픈 일을 당하는 일이 없도록 하려는 것이었습니다. 나의 기쁨이 여러분 모두의 기쁨임을, 여러분 모두를 두고 나는 확신하였습니다.	And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
4	나는 몹시 괴로워하며 걱정하는 마음으로, 많은 눈물을 흘리면서, 여러분에게 그 편지를 썼습니다. 그러나 그것은, 여러분을 마음 아프게 하려고 한 것이 아니라, 여러분을 내가 얼마나 극진히 사랑하고 있는지를 알려 주려고 한 것이었습니다.	For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.
5	잘못한 사람을 용서하라 누가 마음을 아프게 하였다면, 실은 나를 마음 아프게 한 것이 아니라, 과장하지 않고 말해서, 어느 정도는 여러분 모두를 마음 아프게 한 것이라 하겠습니다.	But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.
6	여러분 대다수는 그러한 사람에게 이미 충분한 벌을 내렸습니다.	Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.
7	그러니 여러분은 도리어 그를 용서해 주고, 위로해 주어야 합니다. 그 사람이 지나친 슬픔에 짓눌리는 일이 없도록 해야 합니다.	So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
8	그러므로 나는, 여러분이 그에게 사랑을 나타내어 보이기를 권합니다.	Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.
9	내가 그 편지를 쓴 것은, 여러분이 모든 일에 순종하는지를 시험하여 알아보려는 것이었습니다.	For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.
10	여러분이 누구에게 무엇을 용서해 주면, 나도 용서해 줍니다. 내가 용서한 경우가 있다면, 그것은 그리스도 앞에서 여러분을 위하여 용서한 것입니다.	To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;
11	그렇게 하여 우리가 사탄에게 속아넘어가지 않으려 하였습니다. 우리는 사탄의 속셈을 모르는 것이 아닙니다.	Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
12	그리스도의 향기 내가 그리스도의 복음을 전하려고 드로아에 갔을 때에, 주님께서 내게 거기에서 일할 수 있는 길을 열어 주셨습니다.	Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,
13	그러나 나는 내 형제 디도를 만나지 못하여, 마음이 편하지 않아서, 그들과 작별하고 마케도니아로 갔습니다.	I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
14	그러나 그리스도의 개선 행렬에 언제나 우리를 참가시키시고, 그리스도를 아는 지식의 향기를 어디에서나 우리를 통하여 풍기게 하시는 하나님께 감사를 드립니다.	Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
15	우리는, 구원을 얻는 사람들 가운데서나, 멸망을 당하는 사람들 가운데서나, 하나님께 바치는 그리스도의 향기입니다.	For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
16	그러나 멸망을 당하는 사람들에게는 죽음에 이르게 하는 죽음의 냄새가 되고, 구원을 얻는 사람들에게는 생명에 이르게 하는 생명의 향기가 됩니다. 이런 일을 누가 감당할 수 있겠습니까?	To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
17	우리는, 저 많은 사람들처럼 하나님의 말씀을 팔아서 먹고 살아가는 장사꾼이 아닙니다. 우리는, 하나님께서 보내신 일꾼답게, 진실한 마음으로 일하는 사람들입니다. 우리는 하나님이 보시는 앞에서, 그리스도 안에서 말하는 것입니다.	For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
