| 1 | Salmo di Davide composto quand’egli fuggì dinanzi ad Absalom suo figliuolo. O Eterno, quanto numerosi sono i miei nemici! Molti son quelli che si levano contro di me, | Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. |
| 2 | molti quelli che dicono dell’anima mia: Non c’è salvezza per lui presso Dio! Sela. | Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. |
| 3 | Ma tu, o Eterno, sei uno scudo attorno a me, sei la mia gloria, colui che mi rialza il capo. | But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. |
| 4 | Con la mia voce io grido all’Eterno, ed egli mi risponde dal monte della sua santità. Sela. | I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. |
