1 Silloin teemanilainen Elifas lausui ja sanoi: Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
2 "Ethän pane pahaksesi, jos sinulle puhutaan? Kuka voi vaitikaan olla? If we assay to commune with thee, wilt thou be grieved? but who can withhold himself from speaking?
3 Katso, monta sinä olet ojentanut, ja hervonneita käsiä olet vahvistanut; Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.

18 Katso, palvelijoihinsakaan hän ei luota, enkeleissäänkin hän havaitsee vikoja; Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly:
