| 1 | Veisuunjohtajalle; Daavidin virsi. Taivaat julistavat Jumalan kunniaa, taivaanvahvuus ilmoittaa hänen kättensä tekoja. | The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. |
| 2 | Päivä sanoo päivälle, ja yö ilmoittaa yölle. | Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. |
| 3 | Se ei ole puhetta, se ei ole kieltä, jonka ääni ei kuuluisi. | There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. |
| 4 | Niiden mittanuora ulottuu yli kaiken maan ja niiden sanat maanpiirin ääriin. Auringolle hän on tehnyt niihin majan. | Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, |
