MAING Kot, se ronger ki salong at, sam at oko kasokasoi ong kit er, me kom kotin wiadar ni ar ansau mas. | We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
Kom kotin pakiweier men liki kan ki lim omui, ap wilian ir di; kom kotin koko sang wei kan, ap id katotoe ir ala. | How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.
Pwe re sota kaloedier sap o ki ar kodlas, o pa arail sota katepa ong ir, pwe pali maun omui o lim omui, o marain en silang omui; pweki kom kotin kupura irail er. | For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
Pwe komui Kot ai Nanmarki, me inauki ong Iakop, en sauasa i. | Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.
Komui, me se pan kawekila at imwintiti kan; ni mar omui me se pan tiakekidi me kin palian kit. | Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
Pwe i sota kin kaporoporeki ai kasik katieu, o ai kodlas sota kak dore ia la. | For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
Pwe komui me kin sauasa kit sang at imwintiti kan, o kom kin kanamenokala, me kailong kin kit. | But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.
Ran karos se pan kapinga Kot, o se pan danke ong mar omui kokolata. Sela. | In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.
Ari so, kom kotin likidmalie kin kit ala, pwe sen lisela, o komui sota iang at karis akan. | But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.
Kom kotin mueid ong at imwintiti, ren paki kit wei, o me kailong kin kit, kin kulia sang at kapwa. | Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.
Kom kotin mueid ong ir, ren kawe kit ala dueta sip oko, o kom kotin kamueit kit pasang nan pung en men liki kan. | Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.
Kom netikila sapwilim omui kan ni pwai sued, a komui ap sota kapwapwa kilar. | Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.
Kom kin kotin wiai ong kit, sen kankaurur ren men imp at, o lalaue o sarodi ren me kapil kit pena. | Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.
Kom kotin wia kin kit karasepa eu ren men liki kan o aramas akan kin dueduälok kin kit. | Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
I kin saro nin ran karos o mas ai me dir en namenok, | My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,
Ni ai rongerong aramas morsued o lalaue, o ni ai kilekilang ai imwintiti o me kin akdepuk kan. | For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger.
Mepukat karos lel dong kit er, ari so, se sota kak monokela komui, de wia dip ong sapwilim omui inau. | All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
Mongiong at sota pupwei sang komui, o se sota wuki wei sang al omui. | Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way;
A komui kawe kit alar ni wasan man sued, o kom kadupale kidi mot en mela. | Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.
Ma se monokela mar en at Kol, o pokada pa at ong amen kot, | If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;
Kot sota pan kotin diarada? Pwe a kotin mangi lol en mongiong at. | Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
Pwe kit kin kalokoloke kin komui ni ran karos, o kit rasong sip me pan kamela. | Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
Maing, kom kotida! Da me kom kotin saimokela? Kotin opada wasa, o der kasapoke kit ala kokolata! | Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.
Da me kom kotin karirila silang omui, o kotin maliela at luet o at kalokolok? | Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
Pwe ngen it poridier ni pwel par; kaped it pas ong pwel. | For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.
Kom kotida, sauasa kit, o dore kit ala pweki omui kalangan. | Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies’ sake.
