MAING, Ieowa, kom kotin kadiarokada lol i, ap kotin mangi ia. | O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
Kom pil kotin mangi ma i momod de uda, ap kotin mangi ai lamelam ni ar kotin doo sang ia. | Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
Ir me kotin kupura ia ni ai potopoto sili, o ni ai wonon, ap kotin mangi ai tiak kan karos. | Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
Melel Maing Ieowa, sota ai poto sang ni lo i, me kom sota kotin mangi. | For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.
Kom kin kotin ieiang ia wasa karos, o kom kin kapado lim omui po i. | Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
Mepukat meid kapuriamui ong ia, meid apwal, i sota kak dedeki. | Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
Ia wasa, i pan kak ko sang mon ngen ar ia? O ia wasa, i pan kak piti sang silang ar ia? | Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
Ma i piridala nanlang, kom kotikot wasa o, o ma i onop ong wendi nan wasan mela, kom pil kotikot ia. | If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
Ma i ale pan pir en umpul en katipin, ap mimieta ni kailan madau, | If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Lim ar pil pan kare ia wasa o, o lim ar maun pan kolekol ia. | Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
Ma i pan inda: Rotorot en kadupwal ia di, pong ap pil pan marainla imp ai. | If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
Pwe rotorot so kin rotorot mo omui, o pong kin marain dueta nin ran, rotorot kin dueta marain. | Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
Pwe kom me kotin wiadar mudilik i, o kom kotin wia ia da nan kaped en in ai. | For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
I danke komui, duen kapuriamui en ai wiaui ia da, meid kapuriamui sapwilim ar dodok kan, ngen i pil dedeki melel mepukat. | I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Kokon ai kan me sansal ong komui ni ai wiauier wasa rir, ni ai wiauier wasa lol en sappa. | My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Silang ir mangi ia ni ai saikenta wiauier, o ran karos me kokodo, ap saikenta mia, me kileledier nan sapwilim omui puk o. | Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Maing Kot, meid kasampwal ong ia duen meakan karos, me komui kin kupukupura! | How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
Ma i pan wadok ir, i sota pan kak ong, pwe re me toto sang pik en oror, ni ai pirida, i kin mimieta re omui. | If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
O Maing Kot, kom sota men kamela me doo sang Kot akan; o me kin inong iong nta, en muei sang ia! | Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
Pwe re kin lokaia sued duen komui, o sapwilim omui imwintiti kan kin kangudi ni sokarepa. | For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
I kin kailongki, Maing Ieowa, me kin kailongki komui, o i suedeki ar palian komui. | Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
I kin kailong kin ir melel, re wialar ai imwintiti. | I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
Maing Kot, kom kotin kasaui ia, o mangi duen mongiong i, kotin rapaki duen me i kin lamelame. | Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
O kom kotin masani, ma i mi pon al sued, o kotin kalua ia pon al soutuk. | And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
