KOMAIL kalaka, pwe komail der kisakis sansal mon aramas, pwe ren udial; pwe ede sota pwain omail ren Sam omail, me kotikot nanlang. | Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
Ari, koe lao kisakis, ede peuk saui mo om, duen me malaun akan kin wia nan sinakoke kan o nani al akan, pwe ren indand ren aramas. Melel I indai ong komail, re aleer arail pwain. | Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
A koe lao kisakis, der kasale ong pali maing om, me pali maun om kin wiada. | But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
Pwe om kisakis en rir; a Sam om, me kin masani wasa rir, pan kotin katingi uk. | That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
Koe lao wia kapakap, koe der ras ong me malaun akan, pwe re men kapakap nan sinakoke kan, o nani al akan, pwe ren sansal mon aramas. Melel I indai ong komail, re aleer arail pwain. | And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
A koe lao wia kapakap, ko ong nan om pera, a koe lao ritingidier wanim o, ap kapakap ong Sam om, me kotikot wasa rir, a Sam om, me kin masani wasa rir, pan kotin katingi uk. | But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Komail lao kapakap, komail depa purepur ong lokaia mal, duen men liki kan, pwe re kiki ong, me re pan pwaikida ar lokaia toto. | But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Komail ari ender dueta irail, pwe Sam omail kotin mangi meakan, me mau ong komail, mon omail poeki re a. | Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
A iet duen omail pan wia kapakap: Sam at, me kotikot nanlang. Mar omui en saraui. | After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Wei omui en pwaida. Kupur omui en wiaui sappa dueta nanlang. | Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Kotikido ran wet at tungol kaukaule. | Give us this day our daily bread.
Lapwa sang kit dip at, dueta kit me kin lapwada koros, me wia dipi ong kit. | And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Eder kaluang kit ren me katikatiamau kan, a nekid kit sang ni me sued akan, | And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Pwe ma komail pan makeki ong aramas dip ar akan, Sam omail nanlang pan pil makeki ong komail. | For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
A ma komail sota pan makeki ong aramas dip ar akan, nan Sam omail sota pil pan makeki ong komail dip omail akan. | But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Komail lao kaisesol, eder mas en sang duen me malaun akan, pwe re kin kawukila mas arail, pwe aramas en kilang arail kaisesol. Melel I indai ong komail, re aleer arial pwain. | Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
A koe lao kaisesol, usor mong om o opinok. | But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
Pwe koe dor kasale ong aramas om kaisesol, a ong Sam om, mi kotikot wasa rir, a Sam om, me kin masani nan wasa rir, pan kotin katingi uk. | That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Komail der ki pena omail pai kan nin sappa, wasa man en mot o mir pan kawela ia, o men pirap kin weirada o pirapala. | Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
A komail ki pena omail pai kan nanlang, wasa man en mot de mir sota pan kawela, o men pirap sota kin weirada de pirapala. | But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Pwe wasa om pai mia ia, iei wasa mongiong om kin pil mia ia. | For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Por en mas iei marain en pali war. Ari, ma mas om makelekel, war om karos pan dir eng marain; | The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
A ma mas om me sued, war om karos pan dir en rotorot. A ma marain, me mi lol om, pan rotorot, daduen wan rotorot! | But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
Sota amen me pan kak papa saumas riamen, pwe a pan kailongki amen, ap pok ong me teio, de a pan kasampwaleki amen, ap mamaleki me teio. Komail sota pan kak papa Kot o mamon. | No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
I me I indaiki ong komail: Eder ngongongki ong maur omail, me komail pan kang o me komail pan nim, pil sota ong war omail, me komail pan likau kida. Pwe maur so kasampwal sang kisin manga, o pali war sang likau? | Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Kalelapok ong manpir pan lang; re sote, kin kamoredi, re soin kin dolung, re sota kin nak pena; ari so, Sam omail nanlang kotin kamakamanga irail; a ia duen, komail so kasampwal sang irail? | Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
A is nan pung omail, ni a ngongki, me pan kak use pasang pein i ki tipong en pa eu? | Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
O menda komail ngongki likau? Kalelapok ong kiop akan, me mi nan sap, duen ar kakairida. Re sota kin dodok o sota monkol pena. | And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
A I indai ong komail: Nan Salomo ni a lingan karos sota a likau dueta apot irail. | And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Ari, ma iduen Kot kotin kapwataki dip, me mi nan sap, me kin mi ran wet, a lakap pan lokidokila nan kisiniai, dadue a sota pan kotin kalikauwi komail da, me poson tikitik? | Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
I me komail der ngongongki moinda: Da me se pan kang? De da me se pan nim? De da me se pan likau kida? | Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Pwe mepukat men liki kan kin raparapaki; pwe Sam omail nanlang kotin mangi, me mepukat karos mau ong komail. | (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Rapaki mas wein Kot o a pung, a mepukat karos pan pouselang komail. | But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Eder ngongki ong lakap; pwe lakap pan ngongki ong pein i; a itar ong ran eu pein a sued. | Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
